I have to say, I would have preferred olifxpro was given a warning instead of being banned outright . It is clear his approach is not what is mostly advocated in trading books, but hey trading is what each person makes ot it. Just my 2 cents.

Looks to me Linda Raschke is a profitable trader - as her own funds are audited and ranked by some banks fund rating agencies. Now, which other education seller has all his/her trading audited?

I just want to check : Do most education sellers always IMPLY that they are profitable? What would happen if people found out they are not consistently profitable? what would happen if people found out that once in a while they blow up some accounts for instance? Would it be difficult for...

or by developing a lavish lifestyle, or by becoming addicted to drugs, etc... thus feeding all the parasites out there - pimps & brothel owners, drug dealers, luxury goods salespeople, and the list if long of people who want to help themselves...

always better to wait for someone who will buy the product, try it, lose money and then resell the material. With some patience, you could grab it for less than 50$ from a loser. Trading is all about patience.

Knowing how to make money ( trading, sport,...) does not mean knowing how to keep money made.:mad:

why make it difficult for yourself? If that is what you really want, attach you trading statements summaries with all the metrics, and number of years. and start faxing, posting, emailing these. And just say you are available for discussion. Consistently profitable traders who don't blow...

oilfxpro, I have to say you have a really good understanding of this trading business. I fully agree a course will not make you profitable. At best, show you how one can fail. And the Madoffs in trading education are plenty. the wiki link is a gem. :)

Seriously the best teacher :). He really deserved his extremely high fees... He did not try to bambouzzle us about how great a trader he was. What was nice, he could prove easily how bad he was at it : statements after statements, all his various accounts. Very impressive to see how much...

The best teacher in trading I had was a lad, who has traded basically unsuccessfully all his life. For some reasons, BEFORE we even signed the check, he explained that he can't trade, and the best way to learn was to see what not to do, etc... But he would explain everything he had came across...

I guess trading is not that easy. And for SOME people, after many many years, they need to find a way to get paid for all these many years of trading. :confused:

Seriously this is a bit exagerated. I do believe that EVERY trading course would teach a student something... but comparing this to a math course is completely exagerated. If I was to advise a student between taking a degree in mathematics or taking a 2-3 years course of AlBrooks, I am sorry...

Seems to me that forexfactory has now moved into the porn business. Trading being just an entry door. May be they now have some deals with some brothel owners or promoters. For noobs, I think it is important that they realise trading takes time. It is not a quick road to riches

I did try once in a while to stop some noobs from spending thousands of dollars on some courses. The way I did it , was to teach them whetever course they were ready to pay for, I asked them to practice a good 6 months, and then ask them to find out - how many traders are actually...
