Got an OUT signal on the gold contract tonight, and sold at $869.70, for a loss of 11.5 points, or $1,150. Ouch! I'm not very happy with my performance trading gold. I don't mean just here in the journal (which obviously sucks), but overall. I'm planning to halt gold trading until I can...

A nice volatile day today, and since volatility is the trader's friend, that's good. Lots to report, so let's get at it. First the ES system signalled to go SHORT (it was LONG). I went short at 1,289.00, and since I had gone long at 1,260.75, that's a profit of 28.25 points, or $1,412.50...

Well, it was very nice to see all the trades in the black today, that doesn't happen that often. Of course, it will be even nicer to close those puppies in the black, because in the futures world things can change very quickly, as we all know. Because of that, I was glad to get a signal...

Thank you for posting those. Comparing the new system stats to those of the two original systems, system 21 seems to have a worse % perfect, a worse W/L point ratio, and substantially less total equity. So I'm curious as to why you made the switch. Can you shed some light on this? Thanks.

    Got a signal tonight to exit the Naz e-mini short, so I covered at 1,815. That yielded a profit of 1,856.5 - 1,815 = 41.5 points, or + $830. The current status is as follows: Open positions Japanese Yen (JYU8) - SHORT @ .9277 S&P mini (ESU8) - LONG @ 1,260.75 30-yr bond (USU8) -...

Hi James, Can you post a shot of the trade stats screen for system 21, so we can compare them with the similar stats for sytems 19 and 20, which you previously posted? Thanks.

Well, as I said at the start, I think this company makes a nice product, and I've been trading it successfully for a while. If after 30 trades I've got some good results here, I'll disclose who they are and be happy to talk more about them. But this software is just a tool, like a hammer. And...

Yes, the software is EOD. I run it as soon as the data is available from the supplier, Pinnacle Data Systems. That time used to be around 6:30pm EST, but since the exchanges consolidated, it now comes out later, usually between 7pm and 8pm. I'm not real happy about that, but on the whole I...

I'm happy to be able to break my record of 100% consistency tonight. I got a signal to cover the ES short position, which I did at $1,266.50. Since I went short at 1,284, that's a gain of 17.5 points, or $875. So the current status is as follows: Open positions Japanese Yen (JYU8) -...

Three signals tonight, one to close an open trade, and two to open new trades. First, got a buy signal to close the outstanding short position on the 30-year bond. I bought it back at 114 - 25.5, for a loss of 23.5 32nds, or -.734375 pts, which comes to a loss of $734.38. I then had a new...

Got a sell signal tonight for the British Pound contract. I sold at 1.9729, and since I went long @ 1.9836, the loss was $668.75. I also got a signal tonight to go short on the yen, which executed at .9277. Current status is as follows: Open positions 30-yr Bond (USU8) - SHORT @ 114...

It's been longer than I expected, but I got the next signal tonight: exit the gold trade, which I did at $934.80. So we are starting off with a loss of $951.70 -$934.80, or -16.9 points, which for this contract means a loss of $1,690. Not the way you'd like to start off, but that's the way...

I've been trading futures with some software that has been working pretty well for me, but is not widely known. I thought it might be useful to talk about it some, but first I need to establish to the ET community that this stuff works. If not, it's a waste of everyone's time. So my plan is...

James, If the trade lost $50 on 7/17, shouldn't the accumulated losses go UP, to ($1,048), instead of down?

    BioComp Dakota with Swamp Technology

Absolutely, no question about it. That's also why it would *really* be good to see the swarm hit 18%. But the current trade is so far underwater that right now holding on to 12% looks tough. However, at this stage things can change quickly, which is why a good number of trades will be needed...

James, There haven't been a lot of posts here lately, but don't think that no one is reading. For one, I check the status every day. I know that the swarm is behind its initial expectations, but it is profitable. It will be interesting to see what happens with the current trade, where...

James, 100% perfect since 4/1 is $23,088. So as of right now, the swarm is at 11.92% of perfect. I think that's pretty good, given the relatively short period of time so far, and I'll be watching to see if it climbs up to the 18% figure that it showed after development. I'm really glad...

Thanks, James. Today's drop in the ES gives you some nice positive open equity. I'll be watching to see if the swarm signals a switch.

I meant to say "and if 100% perfect for the ES was $170K/year" in my previous post.
