CNBC said Bill Dudley comments tanks the market, why?

I'm missing something here, Bill Dudley said "the firming of economic activity is welcome and not a reason to reverse course." He is in favor of finishing off QE2. So shouldn't the market goes higher? Why did CNBC said because of his comments, the market lost most of its gain?

Merkel: Germany could leave the Euro to rot.

since I don't know the structure of Germany, I have a primitive question: can the opposition party call a vote of non-confidence and overthrow the govt.? Here's the concern: say Greece go belly up, her german banks total outstanding foreign bond is $212.6 billion as of Dec. 2010, some of...

Why is S&P moves towards 1250 due to Quad. witching tomorrow?

actually I really like Simon Hobbs. He's the only 1 who really challenge those ANALyst who hype up their portfolio, hype up all the stocks that you can imagine. The other anchors just sit there and let them use the "Bring It Home" approach, as Jon Stewart call it, and keep cooking up the...

Why is S&P moves towards 1250 due to Quad. witching tomorrow?

Bob Pisani at CNBC is saying "S&P at 1250 is the biggest outstanding interest is for quadruple witching expiration tomorrow, as such, that’s the tendency to move towards that number because that’s the place that dealers would lose the least amount of money, that’s the reason the S&P moves...

Greece Wins EU Pledge for 4 1/2-Year Extension to Repay Bailout

In that case, why is the yield for Greece 10 yr. note at 11.946% today? and I really want to understand the lack of sentiment behind this: The 5 year CDS: Greece is up 0.73% to 981.2, WHY? If Greece is solid as per Olli Rehn said, their CDS should be at 100, not 981?

    Portugal next?

easily for you to say: what about the banks? Greece got the bail out in May, why is their 10 yr. yield at 11.946% today? Because as recent as yesterday, there are analysts on CNBC saying Greece, Ireland will go default, and Portugal and SPain will follow AFTER they got the IMF, EU $$

    10yr Irish yields at 9.49 %,Spanish at 5.70%,Portuguese at 7.33 %,US at lousy 2.79%

Is there a web site shows the S&P Future at 9:29 am each day?

w/ all these places, you have to copy down the no. at the 9:29 am moment, or else, you'll miss it. I actually have wrote down the no. since Feb. of this year, sometimes close to 9:29, some other time not so close, but I split it in my daily files, now I need it open all of those files, 1 at a...
