    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

Permanent exposure with periodic adjustments. The only thing you have to worry about is not to be in the wrong side. That is, in my opinion, the best way to trade. Probably the only practical form of managing large positions as well.

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

Calculating and trying to increase probabilities is exactly why I started this thread. I simulated and used in a small live account for a short experimental period a mantingale EA that doubled each 20 pips and stopped out at 200. This is suicidal. It accumulated nicely for 1 to 2 months. Then...

Anybody trading forex using martingale successfully?

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

I was all this week in the market, in the side of the trend and ended the week 1,22% up. Remember, I am always with the trend and with very small size. I have been sticking with the trend for a long time. My best trades are exactly these. Most of what I lost was for trying to predict the market...

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

That's good advise for sure. But I prefer to be in the market all the time. Always with the trend (unless is is too stretched when I reverse). If I go full size from the beginning I will be always streessed for the optimum entry and exit points, not to give back profits. With very small size I...

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

Agreed. I advocate a very well thought entry in every level. If you enter blindly market will sooner or later wipe you out.

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

I keep monitoring the trend all the time and never pyramide against it. If you keep the "grid step" large you will probably never go beyond the third level. Begining from 0,01 lots you will not go larger than 0,07 (0,01 + 0,02 + 0,07). Small risk.

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

I totally agree. Do you keep a track record of your trades?

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

Let me clarify. I forgot to mention. All I will say is related to FOREX. I think it can be easily adapted to stocks, but at present I only trade currencies. My account balance now is 3.3K - standard. I opened first position with 0.01 lots. Just EURUSD (tighter spread). In the first try I...

    Bullet-proof martingale!?!

Martingale would be the perfect strategy if it didn't blow up the account in the long run. But... is that always the end? Maybe not necessarily. I have been trying this "strategy" (may it be called so?) and I think there is a safe way to use it. If there is anybody interested I will...

    The M.I.N.D Game

I would consider you a very good teacher if you disclosed it all. But your reply throws me back to my previous doubt: are there really profitable setups? Please understand that I respect your decision not to disclose, but maybe revealing the math would show up just another useless indicator...

    The M.I.N.D Game

The Generals that I am talking about leave footprints the size of an Elephants', and without a "profitable setup" these footprints will never be seen --------------------------------------------------------- Fine. So there is a setup to see the footprints of the generals/elephants. Are you...

    The M.I.N.D Game

My current belief is: there is no profitable trading system. No profitable setup. No profitable software. No profitable methodology. There are only profitable minds. Trading systems, setups, methods are only filters through which your mind looks at the mutant chaos (the market). A...

Are you profitable? So take this challenge...

Stoned, I am only trading forex. I don't live in US. And I realized my initial offer was not a good idea. Thx.

I think his gibberish describes a very good way to throw away all one's money in less than 8 days:D

Are you profitable? So take this challenge...

I was watching an interesting Discovery Channel show. That's why 15 minutes went by... But I am not so quick as you at taking decisions. I will read your post carefully tomorrow. Must sleep now. Are you serious about doubling in 8 days? I repute this as simply impossible or too risky. I...

Are you profitable? So take this challenge...

What would you do on day nine with double your money??? Can you afford to be in residence for eight days??? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't understand what you mean. Maybe it's because english is not my natural language. There is...

Are you profitable? So take this challenge...

The market is full of insurance mechanisms. The put writer is a classic example of a person taking other people's risks... There is always a price to be paid for the protection. Nothing unfair. No cheat. Just contract specifications. No deal? No deal, that's fine. I would take the risk if I...

Are you profitable? So take this challenge...

I take banks money, I trade banks money, I take 100% of the profit, I protect myself from losses. ------------------------------------------------- MajorUrsa, I think you are right. Many replies in this thread have shown me that this proposal is not attactive, from a strictly financial...

Are you profitable? So take this challenge...

That being the case, Xtrader59 how is your proposal better then that same trader taking the money in escrow and instead trading it directly for himself, thereby keeping 100% of the profits and not just a portion of it? The trader's risk is the same in both cases since he must make you whole in...
