Good place to heckle and shame the newb (fx)

Let's try this counter trend thing again. Can I nail two losers in a row? Short - USD/CAD 1.09971 Stop - 1.10058 Take Profit - 1.09809 Also going to be keeping track of win/loss (only on trades actually taken). Hopefully this will help with me trusting the system more. W/L/BE...

Now keeping track of trades I failed to pull the trigger on, for my own knowledge. Missed: CAD - 20 pips JPY - 19 pips GPB - 16 pips (this was the earlier short move on the long trade I took below, this would STILL be running at 52+ pips, I used 16 assuming I dumped it at a conservative...

Good place to heckle and shame the newb (fx)

At it again this morning. Trying ever so hard to NOT get angry. Trade was clockwork. No brainer. Setup couldn't have been more clear. Movement after couldn't have been more perfect. Take profit would have hit, plus the spread difference. If I can't take a trade like this, then I'm at a...

We'll, can't see anything good tonight, looks pretty dead actually. Better luck (and discipline) tomorrow... Week 2 Day 3 +23 pips

Good place to heckle and shame the newb (fx)

I'm beginning to realize just how much that's costing me. The three best (and easiest) trades I've made in this journal are three I simply let ride with stops and take profits. I think I'll be doing more of that from now on. It takes much of the emotion out of it and lets the strategy play...

That worked well, no emotion, no taking profit early, no stress. Take profit target hit while I was at work. Covered - USD/CAD 1.09764 14.9 pips That would have covered my loss, plus a little, were it not for the JPY pointless, anger trade. Oh well. Live and learn.

    EUR/USD & GBP/USD & AUD/USD Forex Trading

Without divulging the exact method that you use (not expecting a trading system, which you probably worked hard on, for free) can you just explain for the newb the idea behind "basket" trading and how it works?

Moved take profit to 1.09764 to take some of the large spread into account.

Anywho... cleared my head and going about this a little differently. Going to give the stop thing a try so I'm less stressed about my positions and also so I don't have to actively manage them. My actual postion should have been 3 pips higher, the price changed at the instant that I clicked...

I realize that's the wrong attitude, but did I not correctly call two decent size losers in a row? lol My strategy is playing reversal swings and breakouts off simple support and resistance. I don't use indicators (unless you consider fibs an indicator. Although I do use a williams %r for...

Buying breakout after breakout Covered - USD/JPY 94.543 -26.9 pips That'll put me back to near break-even all total and signal the end of bothering today. Not all that surprising that the solid, large profit setups were not taken, but the only two failed setups so far were. Odd, it is...

Well if nothing else I paid to break the ice and actually make a trade. Now I'm more open to make trades, all of which will be losers, I'm sure. Short - USD/JPY 94.274 Target around 94.000

Covered - USD/CHF 1.06658 Good, quick 14.6 pip loss on the break out of the century. Am I surprised? Not in the least. Such is the par factor, and mine is stronger than anyone else's.

Got it on the retest, wouldn't be surprised if this is the time it breaks it. *eyeroll* Short - USD/CHF 1.06512 x1 Target at 1.06250, but who am I kidding. I'll probably sell it for 5 pips. :p

Good place to heckle and shame the newb (fx)

This is an ungodly vicious cycle. Missed: It's one thing to see a good move after the fact and say, "That sucks, wish I had seen that ahead of time." That leaves you with a quick moment of disappointment, if anything at all. It's entirely another to recognize a trade, wait patiently...

Sure enough, trade would have panned out perfectly overnight for either one of my targets. Another profit lost not trusting the chart.

Covered - USD/CAD 1.08703 0 pips Stopped out at break even, already got an 8 pip move out of it, spread killed it. Don't care to sit up and watch this one, don't care to lose anything on it either. Forex.com loves me making money for them on that spread. Week 2 Day 2 +49.6 pips

Charts and the quotes are so out of sync right now. I should screen shot this and email it to forex.com. No reason for this during low volume.

After watching great setup after great setup (all of which would have panned out well) go by all morning without pulling the trigger (beating my head on the wall for that, too much emotion, not enough execution), I finally took one tonight... this is going to be interesting. After making a...
