I'll take a short as close to resistance as possible with a stop set a few ticks above it.

It's real simple. I'm going short this Monday at the top of the upper trendline unless it gaps over it for some reason. A crazy stock so I'll carry a tight stop and take a small position.

I'm shorting this at resistance.....a move over will not likely last long.

I had a decent week with some nice trades. I'll post my trading plan for next week and what I have on the radar.

That's all I have time for tonight. I'll post some more nonsense this weekend if time permits.

This is a weekly chart and a shot in the dark. If it weren't still under the 200 MA on the daily, I'd probably give it more consideration. As it stands now, I'll only go long on a break over stick low resistance IF the volume is massive. From a bullish point of view, it has put in a higher low.

    Same as the prior post.

Since 95% (idiots) of the investing public doesn't short , I suppose I should add a few longs I've got my eye on. Most have already triggered, but there are still a few. I'll play this for a day or three bounce with a move over resistance. As you can see, we've got our higher low. Will she...

This is like the FRX setup posted the other day. It would take me too much time to try to explain how I identify these setups. Basically, it's in a rough triangle pattern if you look at the intraday charts, but the risk parameters are defined by the daily. I'll short on a break of todays low...

If you base your decisions with TA, your trading should NEVER be subject to interpretation. If your threshold point is violated, get the hell out. SIMPLE. I think I've already posted this, but I don't have the energy to go back and check. I'll look to short any rally up to the neckline with a...

A simple rule....floors become ceilings once a breakdown occurs just as ceilings become floors once a breakout occurs. This a weekly chart "bouncing" back to resistance. Bounces come out of thin air, they aren't measureable, and they shouldn't be messed with. Trading ANYTHING other than a...

I'm not so sure about this pig. IMO, it appears to be in the early stages of a right shoulder in a H&S pattern. As anyone with a brain knows, the right shoulder is the distrubution phase in the pattern which means it'll be subject to some "wild and willy" swings. At this point, I'll look to take...

I went short the end of August at $49.70 for a nice trade. I think I'll give him another ride if he makes it back to resistance.

Hanging on.....by a finger. Hoping for a rally up to resistance.

If you're planning on buying this breakout, go to Wal-Mart, buy some vaseline, and be prepared to grab your ankles. I'll short at the stick highs.

I'd love to see the goofy momentum players push this bloated pig up just a bit more.....I'll take a low risk short at resistance.

Another updated chart from this past weekend....gave a perfect / low risk short entry. Who in the hell would buy this breakout? It looks like a 10,000 lb. gorilla climbing a slippery rope.

This is just an updated chart from a previous post and a good example of why resistance is resistance until it ain't no more. I've been reading the boards on ET in my free time over the past few weeks and it's amazing (to me anyway) how you folks complicate this game we call trading...

Prox, I'd love to be able to say that I always hold to measurement but I'd be pulling your leg if I did. As my account has grown over the years, the size of my positions has changed very little. It's what I'm comfortable with, and I don't see any reason to change as long as it's working. When...
