Is there a way to automatically transfer my transactions from Interactive Brokers into Turbotax? They're not listed in the "Financial Institution" dropdown on the Turbotax site. Thanks for any help. I hope I don't have to enter all that by hand.

Why not just measure trading ability by % return on buying power. Seems like that normalizes things pretty well between retail and prop traders.

Thanks for the explanation mnx. IB told me they would have shown me a rejection message but my order was GTC. I didn't understand why that would matter. I guess I'll ask about that under the Retail Forum board.

I was trading an odd lot of SMH thru IB. I sent a market order routed SMART that never got executed. Customer support told me because it was an odd lot, I had to send a marketable limit instead. So I changed to a marketable limit and thousands of shares traded up to 5 cents below my limit but...

I would be interested in hearing from anybody trading Maverick's style of using tapereading to hold for points at a time in the current market. All the NYSE tapereaders I know of are aiming for much smaller moves these days. If anybody is holding for points, I'd like to know what keeps them...
