    What's the best options broker?

Tradeking is 4.95 + .65 per contract and I wouldn't recommend Zecco to anyone... They have had so many issues with their system and everything that they are not reliable..

    What's the best options broker?

Alternatively you could drop the 75 cents per contract and go with Options House. (I don't their policy on age though, you'll have to check that part).

Which brokers offer a checkbook/ checking account?

Not previously mentioned but Options House is cleared by Penson and offers debit card and check writing.

Next friday, cheap lotto tickets on the $2 _call_.

    GM $1 puts

Ahh.. thank you. This is the reply I was looking for. My broker shows the IV at 500% however I assumed 500% was the highest IV possible (yes?). If IV was no longer increasing I could not rationalize how the put would stay the same price(to even out the rise in price). I also didn't think that...

    GM $1 puts

Would anyone have a logical/legit explanation as to why, after a 44% (mkt + ah) gain today, the GM calls (rightfully) increased in price, but the $1 puts stayed the same? (The .02 they show as lost today happened before the big move up).

Why did I not get an assignment notice?

Did you read what I wrote or just see two words and reply? .. If I'm setting a limit order at the bid for something that the bid/ask is staying pretty solid - NBBO doesn't mean a thing. Hell, if I set a limit order at all then NBBO doesn't matter because the limit is what I'm going to pay on an...

Why did I not get an assignment notice?

That isn't entirely accurate. You could look up and see the trades that took place on that option and since the volume is generally low enough, you know what time they sold, and on what exchange they were sold you would be able to see if all 75 sold at once, or 60 and then 15 etc etc. I don't...

    Anyone tried eOption.com?

I've used my account for something like 3 trades. I originally got it and funded it with a real small amount just to secure a promotion they were having. It's too much of a pain in the ass to get the small amount of $ I had in there so I occasionally make some speculative plays on it. I...

Triple average volume on no news?

I missed the joke apparently. Still no explanation for the rise. Oh well.

Triple average volume on no news?

The symbol I was talking about is ODP (Office Depot) - Since the behavior is continuing into today I can't be accused of hyping or pumping some $3 stock now.

Busting an options exchange for disregarding time priority of orders

I've never had an issue with time priority of orders which makes me wonder what exchange, what options you were trading that you experienced this on. The only time I ever have issues is when my broker (Yay smart routing) routes me to something stupid like BOX and I don't get a fill cause...

Busting an options exchange for disregarding time priority of orders

You're 1/3 right. Retail gets priority (at least as far as I've ever seen on my orders.) There isn't any rule about playing both sides of the market at the same time. Options penny pricing has nothing to do with the brokers.

Triple average volume on no news?

I'd already checked on that. All fairly normal except the June 5 calls which had 10x open interest in volume; but that only totalled 1000.

Triple average volume on no news?

I left it out intentionally because I only really wanted generic reasons as to what could be causes of it. EDIT: Besides the obvious "more buyers than sellers."

Triple average volume on no news?

Subject says it all. Curious as to the various explanations for a particular stock to have triple average volume, 20% gain on no news while the other 2 or 3 companies in their sector were normal. Thanks.

    Options on the Q's

Tell me why you couldn't buy on the bid and sell on the ask? "Why would the market let.." .. - What is going to stop them?

Dndn & 10 Days Till Options Expiration

Your first question is ignored because I told you 0 was an overstatement. The facts are that the company doesn't have anything (as far as I know) besides this one drug and this drug is not approved yet; it's not even about to be submitted for approval. We have at least two more full quarters...

Dndn & 10 Days Till Options Expiration

You're reading into his comment (and indirectly, mine). Nobody said anything about the drug failing, just the stock to be valued where it should be until _approval_ of the drug. $0 would be an overstatement, but in the single digits would be more proper.
