<img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1914343> I am having a difficult time seeing a reason to reverse from long at this instant (13:50 = the end of the 13:45 ES and 13:48 YM bars). Agreed - one does not expect increasing volume in a pennant but is that a reason to...

I thought that bar 26 gave a very good clue as it attempted to BO the lower boundary and RTL on reduced volume only to spring back up and close higher than it's open. This same exact thing happened again on the next bar.

IMO any time you justify a drawdown immediately after you enter a position you are in the 'wishing and hoping" mode. If you have made a good entry and our experiencing a drawndown of paper profits while in a retrace that is a different story.

We need to use the information given by the bar at it's close. This does not make a valid point 3 short. You also ignore the fact that the next bar puts in a higher high.

please explain why bar 15 could be a pt3 short.

I'll have to look for those posts so I apologize if I am incorrect and the following is obviously just my opinion. I agree with your intra bar analysis, and I might have had a preliminary trend line drawn, but would have deleted it after the OSB closed. The channel seems questionable and doesn't...

Good final results but I'd be interested in your MADA for your trade 3. You held short for a 5.5 pt draw down through an economic announcement?

    Iterative Refinement

at first glance: your pt3 short at 9:40 is invalid as well as the red gaussian that follows it. the 9:45 bar is increasing black in case you thought it was red when you made these annotations.

Spyder: could you please explain why you ended the annotation of the lateral movement on the 11:45 bar instead of continuing it until there was a close outside of the boundary? thanks in advance, Rick edit: are you considering the 11:45 close on the boundary as "outside"?

This stuff is the easy part and it must be understood first! 1) the right trend line defines the slope and direction of the dominant trend (of the fractal under consideration). 2) increasing volume in the direction of the dominant trend confirms the initiation and continuation of the...

Drill 1.2. Tiki: as I noted on my previous chart, your ES OSB that initiated the lateral (as well as the Gaussian) should be red because it closed lower than previous bar. Just a heads-up in case you want to correct your code.

The main message I took home from NYC was if I was going to improve and apply this method to it's fullest potential, I must get way beyond my current level and gain an understanding of the sequences and WMCN so well that I am able to anticipate and see them unfolding as automatically as...
