Very pleased with Open-E-Cry and Esignal

Olefo, what's offered in eSignal EOD? Does it offer 1-minute data for all exchanges including futures? How long is the back-fill period?

    Block Boxes, Volatility, and Manipulation

How program trading in the NYSE files is defined? Are orders sent through API regarded as program trading? I think orders generated by black boxes account for only a small portion, most are sent by traders assisted with computer programs.

    $100B hedge fund

Have you developed any trading system derived from math models introduced in those papers? My strategy is based on traditional TA, which doesn't use high math. Although I'm a math major, I haven't touch math since I left school. It's a intimidating task for me to brush up my old math and dig...

    $100B hedge fund

I am skeptical about published papers/books. If it really can help you make money, they would not publish it. Jim Simons doesn't reveal anything about his method. There may be a few gems among those papers, but most of them are worthless in the real world.

    Inflation vs deflation in US?

If hyper-inflation comes, will US Dollar lose its world currency status? If Fed can keep a balanced budget with a 6% inflation rate, the national debt can be reduced by almost half in a decade. Double digit inflation is just too dangerous. My concern is when politicians will discuss balanced...

$0.26 is the commission, you have to pay the exch. fees. With the other plan, there is even no commission per rt.

Too much jokes on this thread. I am searching for the right chair with has a good headrest. Have you considered a traditional office chair like this? http://www.samsclub.com/eclub/main_shopping.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&n=0&mt=a&coe=0&oidPath=0:-23541:-42533:-43445:927321

Trading Technologies (TT) Patent (Trademaven and Ninja Trader)

Thanks for the info. Are you using it? I've heard RCG's server is not good enough, that's why I don't have an account with them. I'm thinking about upgrading to CQG in the future, their commission is hard to beat for high volume traders.

Trading Technologies (TT) Patent (Trademaven and Ninja Trader)

So Pats will not use the static ladder? The new dynamic ladder called Reflector sucks.

Trading Technologies (TT) Patent (Trademaven and Ninja Trader)

If the market moves fast, the static ladder will show its advantage.

Trading Technologies (TT) Patent (Trademaven and Ninja Trader)

The key is the price ladder is static, ordinary ladders like Level II are dynamic. Static ones are easy for order entry, dynamic ones are better for displaying price. Static ladder is a good idea, the patent is a little ridiculous though. I'm wondering the guy who invented windows interface has...

    CQG's trade platform

CQG may not have the scalping features as in X_trader. You can go to CQG's site to request a demo. I'm also thinking about using CQG's trading platform through Refco. There is only exchange fee and no commission in the package that combines both charting and trading. Please keep us updated if...

Time to crash the bond market

Is that because the difference between short term and long term interest rate? The long term may not go in the same direction as the short term. I need to spend some time to learn how yield is calculated.
