That's not entirely true. There are energy trading firms out there that do hold futures to delivery. They offset by cash/forward contracts or EFPs.

The OP was not talking about a point to point T1, I'm assuming. A PtP T1 costs about $400-$800 per month. A T1 to the internet is more comparable to FIOS/Cable. You can not compare with PtP.

FIOS is so much cheaper than a T1 to internet. There's no reason not to get FIOS.

That is not correct. Shorting by any variation is when you think the stock is going down. Naked short selling is when you short without the borrow/locate. The shorting is not the problem - it's totally legal. The word "naked" in naked short selling is what makes it illegal.
