    Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

I trade at my predefined levels, that's it. There's nothing else to it. I use the first 5 minutes of the RTH session to decide if I think a long is a possibility, and if I do I buy at my levels. That's all! It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.

3 levels marked, noted that the opening action showed a buyer so I wanted to be long. Nothing exciting...

    Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

Hello, I can add a little something: I have a system that's outlined as follows: -RTH only -Long only -positions are only executed below the day's opening price -positions are executed at predefined levels that I have marked myself. They are derived by my own observations. While there isn't...

My next target up is 25's minimum.

I'm trading it long during RTH to 25.75's as a minimum. I am planning for 2148.50 into early next week.

I'm with you. Most days if I haven't entered by 7:30 PST, I just shut it down and start cooking my bacon and eggs. The same setups usually show up at the same times in the morning, so if I don't get what I'm looking for during the right window, I won't even bother.

I'm not expecting much for the rest of the day. Since we are above both 94.50 / 96.75's (levels predetermined from yesterday) My guess is we'll chop around the open a bit and close either slightly up or slightly down.

No trades for me today. I was more interested being long into 94.50, not being long AT 94.50. Decided to just sit tight and enjoy the family time this morning instead.

Oh well, I closed out just before the close. I guess 94's / 96.75's tomorrow.

I see longs way better than shorts. The initial idea was that if the mirror looked like a really good long, the market is probably going to go down. I barely use it anymore, I just haven't gotten to the point where I'm ready to remove it.

I think we might see 96.75's actually. That would be nice!

We are hanging out above yesterday's low, which bodes well for longs into the afternoon. Here's to 94.25's :)

    1. Long below the open 2. Trade at predefined level 3. Wait for a micro price flip on the 512 chart for entry 4. First scale at the open, next at predefined level, holding the last one for 94.25's if this thing has gas into the pm session.

For me, being below the open, I only see longs...

Best of luck tomorrow! 91's now, I'd be looking for longs now.

Well, retested the open, now what ES?

I'm so glad that someone else believes this! This is exactly how I look at it as well. I'd much prefer chop to a huge trend, because I like the idea of having at least some sort of range boundary (imaginary or not) to the day.

I have had a lot of luck judging the strength of an up trend based on whether or not the open was retested (or traded below) before the rally happened. I'll never buy if the open is just sitting there "naked". Something you guys could always take a look at and see if it works for you.
