    VectorVest . . . anyone?

I use it as a confirmation tool only. I only subscribe to the Express version. My main complaint is, it will list stocks as Over Valued, Below Average Safety and a Buy. Why would I want to buy a stock with that kind of rating?

Maybe a newbie question, but are these 2 stocks the same? They have a different ticker symbol for Tokyo and the US, but the chart patterns look very similar. Thanks

3:1 risk / reward. How do you personally use stops

Thanks for all the replies. they were very good. The main reason I move my stock to break even as quickly as possible is for capital preservation. Since it is, and needs to be beaten into everyone's head, about protecting you capital. It is also tough to watch a positive trade turn...

3:1 risk / reward. How do you personally use stops

When a stock I own goes positive, by .15 to .20, I move my stop to breakeven. Lately I have been getting stopped out alot. Do you wait for a stock to go up a certain % before moving your stop to breakeven, or do you "let it ride" and go for broke? Thanks

Poll: Which of these 2 methods do Daytraders use

The last couple of days I have been buying/shorting RIMM. It has been nerve racking, but I made money. Those of you that trade the same stock day after day, do you perfer a stock like RIMM that moves alot intraday (high ATR) , or do you perfer a stock with a decent ATR but moves more slowly.

Poll: Which of these 2 methods do Daytraders use

Do daytraders perfer to trade 1 or a couple stocks day after day. Or do you do a scan for new stocks every day? I personally do new scans everyday, but lately I have been buying and shorting 1 stock over and over again the last couple of days and it has been working really well.

The Stop Order - the true art of trading?

As I was trading today, placing stop orders and watching my stocks repeatedly hit my stop, then turn and tear off in the other direction. I realized, the stop order is important, but where you place is even more important. I have been placing stop orders usually $.25 to $.50 below my entry...

    11,722.98 to 10,000 in 27 trading days....

Historically, October is the worst month of the year. I am going to play things very tight, even though this is a bull market.
