IB HSI futures position data was incorrect- now i'm screwed. any recourse?

Def, You're the IB asian guru: Any word on when/if HSI is going to have overnight session? With 1.5 billion Chinese, one or two of them must be night owl traders. TIA

IB HSI futures position data was incorrect- now i'm screwed. any recourse?

It's strictly anecdotal on my part but IB seems to function better when using Buttontrader. Couldn't imagine trading HSI without it. To the OP, IB is one thing, China is another. Combine them both and you're not playing with fire but nuclear winter. No amount of profit is worth the gut...

Who's got the lowest futures commissions?

If you're trading size and are profitable doing so, leasing/seat will save you $. Understand there are tax and data fee consequences to doing so.

    cqg

Whiting, Try Ninjatrader, Quotetracker, or SierraCharts. You can use both Ninja and Quotetracker for free and Sierra for nominal fee. All will do range bars no problem. There are other softwares of course. But at least these 3 are stable.

Can you trade using Esig, IB, Iqfeed etc? Of course you can. And until you are not worried about whether you are a profitable trader, you should use a lower priced feed. But without data you can count on you're dead in the water. CQG is IMO the best sub $1000 data feed, you can use...

    multimonitor troubleshooting

Right click on your desktop and bring up Nvidias control panel. Click display and verify that your card model is correct, which nView display mode to use(clone, vertical, independent etc), and that your monitor model is correct. If that doesnt work. Go into your "Display" system icon...

Rich Bear, you yourself say it: who Negotiate Im not recommending OP go with IB. Just posted that to give him an idea of a starting point in terms of commish for whatever size lvl he ramps up to in the future. One of the things I hate though completely understand is brokerage commish...

Anybody Have Experience With OnTimeAlert ?

Libertad, They are what is called a Whisper reseller. Essentially you have the Insight platform accessed through and maintained by Ontime's servers for a slice of the cost of hosting Insight yourself. Usually its 1/2 to 1/3 of the price of Insight outright. Typically the cost is...

Forex broker which meets 3 criterias ...

There was a pizza company whose TV commercials went like, "what do you want on your tombstone?" They should team up with the bucket shop, I mean Forex outfit that offers greater than 100:1 leverage :D

    Volume vs Tick charts

I prefer volume charts, though I did at one time use tick. I think of it like a punch. Tick chart is like a jab, just one pop predicated on price. If you set your tick value high enough you will capture a lot of jabs which is more telling(painful) than a fewer number. The jabs are never...

    ninjatrader platform users

NinjaTrader is primarily a futures execution platform, although now it is moving towards more of a all in one software situation. So, are you looking for the platform to execute futures trades? If so there are many solid brokers who can be accessed via NT. The Zenfire feed works well. As...

    surf with the tick chart?

First of all how are you defining "trend"? If you are using the time worn adage of "higher highs and higher lows" then yes there are some discernable mini trends there. But just like surfing, you have to wait for your set. You cant ride every wave. Second of all, trading the Hang...

    Ooooops TradeStation!

AC3, See my link to syswizard couple pages back. You can auto execute trades through Eurex with TS, Ninja, and IB. Or if you want to get away from TS entirely, try SmartQuant. Their list of brokers that they work with is even greater, IB, OEC among them for Eurex trading.

    Ooooops TradeStation!

Sys, the biggest problem was with loading/changing symbols/time frames on the fly. 20 sec (or longer) lag is unacceptable. Also manually adding symbols prior to loading them is beyond tedious. However I say was because with beta 3.0 both of those MAJOR pts seem to have be dealt with...

    question about prop firm fees

Indeed Corey. Unless you are trading minimum 2-3 million shares/month or you need BP for some reason, you would be hard pressed to beat IB. Not that they dont have room to improve. Never mind potential license issues. Just have a back up broker and dual wan router for your connection...

    Bankruptcy of Vallejo CA

And when Obama or Hillary give them "free" healthcare, they might make it to 85. The problem with California is the problem everywhere else: too many fingers in the pie and the people who pay the way get the middle finger as their vote is overruled by special interests getting fat on public...
