    ES Journal - 2012

1375 seems to be protected level, a healthy sustained break of that level i think we will need for the next push down to come if it does.

At least 2 years til we see those days nearly return and there will be less companies in the industry by then in my opinion.

It was overbought, shipping got way ahead of itself.

I have been watching these shippers as well, waiting for the day when they are a buy again but I think you may be premature. The BDI has bounced off the bottom it has been forming for a long time but there is still the glut of ships that were built during boom times. A couple of months ago...

    short the dow

Why call a top? First off, Dow means nothing but if we are talking it, it tests 13k a couple times before breaking through it. S&P means much more, the dow is what the 6 o'clock news will talk about.

    Future for Natty

http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/297442/20120213/lng-natural-gas-japan-indonesia.htm I wouldn't dare try calling a bottom on natty being that I could see the front end of the curve dipping towards a 1 handle but articles like this really highlight the direction things may be going. With the...

    Baltic Dry Index

I have been watching the BDI as well and watching DRYS along with it. The market has shrugged off the massive fall of the BDI, the stock hasn't really been hit on this last BDI leg down. I take this as a sign of a bottoming. The other reason I like DRYS a lot is because of their drilling...

    Shorting the high Div payers

In the spirit of fading what CNBC is always pumping I have decided that the risk/reward is in my favor to put on a small short of one of the big div payers, I wont get into my reasons but I chose Dominion (D). I think that the yield seeking crowd is an extremely crowded trade and in the spirit...

    Goldman Sachs stock

Goldman never loses, they aren't the best anymore but they will always find a way to make profits. This isn't a stock to bet against because their connections in governments around the world will ultimately lead to success. The game doesn't have to be fair but in the end they will be hoisting...

Where's Bernanke? BAC needs to be rescued from going under $5 again.

I agree with you, had some higher levels of pain been taken several years ago we would have flushed some of these bad debts away already. Instead politicians act in the interest of being re-elected and not what is best for the long term stability of the system. I was just saying that the...

Where's Bernanke? BAC needs to be rescued from going under $5 again.

Yea, because if Obama lets the biggest bank in the US with half of Americans money invested in it go under that should really make everything ok and be great for his re-election bid. Do you stop to think what a catastrophic outcome BAC going under would be? I dont think bank runs are good for...
