    Why inflation What is inflation

High inflation is bad, deflation is worse. High inflation is a form of heavy tax on capital but at least it encourages people to spend and continue to make the system work to a certain extent (no hyperinflation). Deflation cause people to postpone their spending as their money will be more...

IB - Trading ES - currency conversion to USD to trade US market product

Hi etrades, IB doesn't. You need to manually convert in USD an amount that will be sufficient to cover your USD overnight margin and estimated potential losses in USD otherwise you will be charged an interest on your negative USD balance. Same goes for every currency. If your reference currency...

    Contract subject to 871 (m)

Hi, I traded many futures contracts for 6 years but for the first time I tried to short IXM. And this message popped: I understand that this specific regulation is to protect US from foreigners investors evading withholding tax. And I am indeed not based in the US. But: 1) It doesn't apply to...

What broker do you recommend me for long term investments?

IB doesn't charge minimum fees if NLV is more than 100k. No need to pay data fee for LT investing. Get delayed quotes. P&L will be still accurate. So basically no fees except commissions for the initial purchase.

The S&P 500 will top soon at 2925-2930
