I've seen prices bounce off SR lines too many times to discount them... they clearly have some importance. But how can you say that is all you need? For all of the times I've seen the bounce, there are many more when price blows right through the lines. Also, what to use for SR? Prev day...

look for the posts from makosgu or easyrider in this thread to find their ES and YM charts with channels updated throughout the day for the past few weeks.

Stalk, what are you using for S/R ? Since switching to Ensign I don't have any SR lines on my charts, but this morning I looked back at my TS charts and noticed how often price reversed around the daily pivots.

Tradingbug and BA, thanks for the suggestions. I had not realized how much the ON bars interrupted the flow. Here is the 15-30-60 updated. Do you consider the channels I have marked ITs or STs? I sense that I should be annotating a larger channel that contains these.

This is a good point I've been meaning to ask about. I've noticed most of the charts posted in this thread do not contain overnight data. Is the idea that volume is so low overnight that those bars should be ignored altogether?

15min, 30min, 60min charts this is the point that I struggle the most with... we have broken the RTL but is this a new downward channel or adjust the pt3 on existing TL?

What about the larger upward channel... is this correct notation?

ETLURKER, thanks for sharing... your screen-shots alone got my mind racing about things I'd like to do programatically... once I know how to trade profitably. This is an eye-opener... I think Tradestation conditioned me to only think of building apps inside of a chart container.

Grob or Mak, would you mind providing your thoughts around the first major reversal of the day. I believe bar 33 would be classed as a FTT, which became pt1 of the next channel. Volume dropped of dramatically after 33 and remained low until 41 when it had a short spike pushing price to the...
