I use a simpler sweep doc (attached) than the one posted above. I took out the Fine level altogether and removed all but the Gaussians and Squ/Str from the Medium. Questions... Most paths through the sweep end in Continue, but should the others that suggest a specific action (like Enter...

When I first saw the sweep doc I thought its greatest use would be in isolating better entry/exit points, but at this point I’ve found sweeping most useful once I’m in a trade. Previously I would enter a trade, get a jolt of adrenaline and all of my attention would be focused on the price...

BA, beyond the tape are you referring to a short squeeze? I'm not too familiar with how they play out. Is this what happend on bar39 this morning? How did you know the squeeze would come this time? We had a three bar short tape through bar 56 with each vol 40+, but not much of a spike...

I look at the slope of consecutive bars for trend, but I also look horizontally for peaks/valleys that form at similar price levels... the flat bottoms and tops tend to stand out. I'm interested in hearing what clues others are looking for.

I saw this one and quite liked it. Currently I monitor squ/str and prv in tradestation with some crude simple indicators. I think I'd like to build something better from scratch interfacing to IB's API, perhaps also bring the DOM info into it... but at the moment I'm just gathering ideas.

Eagle8, you'll probably get a better response to this type of question in the Order Execution or Trading forums. Do you have access to Time & Sales data? If so watch ES throughout the day to get a feel for the size of trades flowing through the system... you will see MANY trades at 50+ contracts.

Is scoring used in SCT? Score is mentioned in a summary table in the sweep doc but there is no further detail. The Trend Ending column of the Gausians table states: Short=Black Falling to Black Rising, which I would expect to be Long. I was under the impression the normal sequence for...
