Average # of trades per day

That makes more sense, large money is only made on 1 or 2 DAY trades per DAY from my study...

Average # of trades per day

No wonder most people lose... that's way too much trading.

    [2015] Futures P&L

A combination. I try not to forget they are all the same. I recently (within the past couple mon) started watching the 5 min but I've always watched 60min-15min. I also use 1500 & 250 tick but it seems anything less than 5 min is too small for day trading (ie 250 tick).

    [2015] Futures P&L

I ain't even trippin off the fucking week man I'm down for the year... If you can't make money every month then this is near pointless.

    [2015] Futures P&L

-740 -600 Nothing Wed -1290 Nothing Fri I really don't know how it's possible to lose so much. It's like I'm cherry picking the losers some how. Thinking of increasing time frames..

    [2015] Futures P&L

Most of the errors I've identified previously. Holding just 1 or 2 of the trades from the last 2 weeks would have put me in the black... The reason I cut them short, I'm pretty sure I need to stop. I need to do some analysis - but I was cutting them on small (I mean MICRO) tick and 1 min TL...

    [2015] Futures P&L

-950 Nothing Tue +80 Nothing Thur Nothing Fri I was positioned on Wed to make about 5k. Fucking that up made me want to retire for the week. Thur I likely would have lost a lot. All I saw was shorts... price didn't get cheap enough for me. Today I didn't see anything before I had to leave...

    Understanding futures options

Ok, so that makes sense, but how do I pick the strike if I don't know where price will go...? I don't have to do that trading futures!

    Understanding futures options

Today is another example... No one has an answer to how to do this? I guess I'll just fund another futures account? The main point is executing 2 different trades at different times, and scratching the loser. I don't want to have to mess with the winning position.

    [2015] Futures P&L

No, I'd rather not even trade if I am doing 1 contract. Makes no sense.

    [2015] Futures P&L

I remember thinking to myself, you've gotta hold it, you've gotta hold it. Too terrified of losing.

    Understanding futures options

Ok, here's an example from today... 1) Say today I wanted to short the red arrow. 2) Then I wanted to long at the green. 3) The green long was wrong, hence I'd exit it. 4) Short still open.

    Understanding futures options

How is that the same as going long at one price, shorting later, then exiting the short if the market keeps going up?

    Understanding futures options

Ok... well I realized main question: I'm trying to figure out essentially how I can have simultaneous bets [be direction neutral] at some point, and then exit whichever the losing position. It seems like I should just set up another account, and go long in one and short in the other. With...

    Understanding futures options

Ok so that's the price to buy the option. So how do you select which strike price you want to buy at if you don't know how far the market will go? Do you usually buy at several strikes?
