    WorldCo vs Generic Trading

It would help if you posted the deals that you were offered. imho, no capital contribution is almost always the best deal. If you are in NYC, email Hitman at te_bai@hotmail.com - He is the Crazy Eddie of Worldco.

    Starting at Echo vs. WorldCo

Worldco is not too keen on letting traders go remote. They want to see a lot of profit or a capital deposit in your account - $25K is the number I heard, but everything is negotiable.

    Are Traders Ethical

If all market participants were Mom and Pop investor, the markets would be lousy - super low volume, wiiiiiide spreads, and trading by appointment. Program trading alone does a huge amount of NYSE volume, 20-40% on any given day is not uncommon, I think. Worldco alone does a couple percent or...

    Are Traders Ethical

I do. Technology helps, but when more people want to trade, the costs go down.

    Are Traders Ethical

the market would do fine with a investing only buy and hold mentality Without traders, Mr Investor would be confronted with a much wider spread. Commissions and fees would be higher, because there would be fewer market participants. A low volume, wide spread market discourages...

    Any daytraders from Florida?

Yes, you can get bumped up weekly. They only really care about your gross p&l before commissions. I went from 100 to 1200 max in about two months. It was like, 100.300.500.700.1000.1200. Some traders keep requesting size limit increases, but seldom use all that size. My boss had a...

    Starting at Echo vs. WorldCo

So how much is "reputation" worth to you? It should be worth about 100% of the money you have to contribute as a "capital contribution," because statistically speaking (perhaps you are the exception), you will in all likelihood blow through all or most of your money in commissions alone. And...

    Any daytraders from Florida?

Somewhere in the midwest, I have not pinpointed an exact location. I am thinking about starting an organized crime syndicate or something.

    Any daytraders from Florida?

I am leaving Florida - I'm taking a break from packing right now - for all of those reasons. But compared to S CA, FL may be much better. It is crowded, though. Houses are usually very closely spaced, imo. Although real estate values have shot up in FL as well, it is still not as ridiculous...

    Any daytraders from Florida?

After living in Tampa for 6 years, I agree that the Sarasota beaches are the finest in the bay area. The water seems much cleaner to me than Clearwater, where the water isn't clear. It is also much less crowded, free parking still exists, and the public facilities are nicer.

    Any daytraders from Florida?

Do you mean remote traders or trading offices? Most of the offices are in Boca and south FL. I'm in Tampa - and I plan to live here for about another 24 hours. The trading offices in the Tampa Bay area of which I am aware are: Worldco:) Nextrade Protrader Navillus Sunstate

Suggest a cool tagline for Elite Trader.

Isn't this the largest message board site for traders? Something that simply states this fact would make an effective slogan. It doesn't have to be cute; it won't get old; and it conveys the value of ET. EliteTrader.com The World's Largest On-line Trader Community

Baron, there is a block of white space on the main page at the bottom left. A table containing links to the latest chit chat forums would fit nicely.:D Thanks.

100% Return In 9 Trading Days!!!!

Take profits? What is this "take profits" BS? You are supposed to buy more! You are in it for the long haul. Just listen to CNBC - everyone says buy! And these are the real pros! The more stock you buy, the more money you can make! If you are joining the ranks of the evil sellers who...

    American Express Financial Advisor??

It will suck, though. You will be a slave labor cold caller. And if you ever actually get a client, you will have to leave them with Amex. There are better ways. I would say find a prop firm to hire you, and get a night job. Or, if you have the moola, just trade eminis. PS -...

    American Express Financial Advisor??

I was a "financial planner." Basically, you are a glorified life insurance salesman. You can sell annuities and MFs and whatnot, but life insurance is what pays the real commission. You are "captive" to Amex - you may only sell their crappy products. Any time an intelligent customer shops...

    Series 7 Questions???

BK is OK:) I had 1 out of the 30 or so states in which I was registered object to my recent BK. They were only concerned about possible misuse of discretionary trading authority due to current financial hardship - ie churn up client comissions to pay the bills. A simple letter stating that...
