There's Helium-3 in them thar hills!!

It would be a real toss-up as to who is in the more relentless pursuit of a dollar: commodity traders, or politicians.

How do you get a job as a Trader with a bank or investment firm?

Lighten up, will ya Ebo! The guy is just trying to gather some information...not do a two-bit hustle on somebody, like you would probably try.

IB TWS doesn't show bid/ask but price

Same problem in TWS here. But bid and ask is displayed in eSignal RT feed, so I doubt that it is a EUREX problem.

    NYFE - a question

trader56, If you start with only a 1-lot, the ES is not THAT dangerous. But if you would prefer something a little tamer, you might try the 5-yr Trsy Note (ZF), which trades electronically on the E-CBOT. good luck

Super fast trading - all automatic

Don't be misled by the idea that trading more frequently is better. These 100-lot ES trades that get dumped out 1 tick later are certainly making the broker rich, but not necessarily the trader. The only "super-fast, super-frequent" trading that I would not be suspicious of is arbitrage.

    NYFE - a question

I started my career in futures trading on the floor of the NYFE back in 1982, but later moved to Chicago to trade the S&P. Even in the early days, the vast majority of volume in index futures was going to Chicago. The "knife" still trades (on the New York Board of Trade), but as you can see...

    Esignal?

Jay, Can you offer any update on a solid ETA for a fix of the server sync problem? For customers using intraday data, this is a real problem, as indicated positions change (long or short) from one day to the next as inconsistent data is loaded from the different servers. Thanks, sax

    eSignal Chart Data NOT Correct

I think the inconsistency of data from one session to another has to do with the fact that the various eSignal servers are not perfectly synced. When you first connect to eSignal, you do not always get the same server. Check my recent (Jan 7 '04) eSignal review here...

Natural Gas - Why large drop Wed?

Anyone not familiar with natural gas should keep this in mind: it is approximately TEN TIMES as volatile as the ES! And thinly traded to boot (in the electronic contract, anyway). No thanks... saxon

Comments on eSignal 7.x and above

Chuck, Do you have an ETA on the addition of futures data from the Osaka Securities Exchange (Japan)? I am interested in trading the Nikkei 225 futures contract there. IB offers it for trading, but eSignal does not yet offer RT data on that contract. The Nikkei 225 used to be the...
