    Profitable System??

That’s the point I was trying to get across. Most traders don’t have a system. By system I mean a plan that includes not only a set-up to enter but also an exit strategy that takes losses and lets profits run. It includes a money management strategy to keep you in the game. You...

Isn't smart to let someone else trade for you?

It's your money. It's your decision. It's your responsibility.

Isn't smart to let someone else trade for you?

Unlike Medicine or Law anyone can call themselves a trader. I'd have a lot more faith in a self taught trader than I would in a self taught Dr. You are deferring to an expert when hiring a "Pro" trader, but at what cost? Being a "Pro" you will be charged a fee for his service. Usually...

Isn't smart to let someone else trade for you?

Because no one will look after your money better than you. Just ask all the investors that have managed accounts in this downturn.

    trend following

Sorry about that. When the price crosses and closes above the MA. So if it's a losing strategy just reverse it. Sell when the price crosses above it and buy when it crosses below it. :D Whatever you do have an exit strategy.

    Profitable System??

Exactly. Most don't have a system or the disipline to follow a system.

    trend following

Pick a moving average. Buy when it crosses above it and sell when it crosses below it.

    Profitable System??

Are you losing money every day? Does your system end up showing a loss at the end of the week? Here is a simple solution. When your system gives a buy signal, sell instead of buying. When you get a sell signal, buy instead of selling. It stands to reason that if your system is constantly...

Would someone be able to help me w/ a breakout strategy

Thats because the market isn't predictable. I asked why the strategy didn't work because most trend following strategies buy the highs(at least the most recent ones) and sell the lows .

Would someone be able to help me w/ a breakout strategy

Why didn't the strategy work? Where did you enter and exit. What time frame were you trading.

In the past I split my screen QT chart on top IB TWS on the bottom. With a laptop I can monitor a couple charts and watch the TWS at the same time. QT features allow you to bring a chart to full screen with a mouse click and if you want to put a trade on; one click takes you to TWS...

I have the opposite problem of every losing trader who posts a journal

sounds like a win /win situation to me. Iron has the discipline. Jason has the system. Give Iron your system. He trades it and gives you 10% of the profits. If the system doesn't work Jason gets nothing which is what the system is worth.

98% of Traders Fail? Says Who...?

Take a long hard look at ET membership. They boast over 69,000 members. I'd have problems identifying 100 successful traders here .
