There is absolutely no strategy nor plan that can survive a 3000:1 leverage over time. Not even near perfect inside information will let one survive for long with such a leverage.

1000:1 ?? How is that even possible? You will lose all your money just to the spread? And if you make it thru the spread, you will most likely be wiped within 30 seconds due to natural fluctuation.

Also depends on the market. The stock market does create value as companies hopefully gets more valuable as time go (earnings). However, markets like the foreign exchange market is a zero-sum game. Each cent one participant gain must come from someone else's loss.

Same here. Have been using Oanda for many years. Have never experienced any trouble taking money out from Oanda. Usually take out a bit every month, and I have never experienced any delays or issues with it.

I use Oanda and they let you go up to 50:1, and you can add money as the position worsens. However, it is a moronic idea to use 50:1 or more. But that is a totally different discussion.

Is that even possible to do manually? I would think the machine learning bots would react to that report before you even manage to open it? Isn't it better to go for a bit longer time-intervals? Just my 2 cents...

The Bloomberg terminal, Reuters, Infront and probably most other similar services have this. If you can find it for free; that is a completely different question.

How would that work? I am no futures expert, but as far as I know, the difference between the spot price and the futures price is the time element. A CFD do not roll over as a futures contract do? So are you looking for a CFD that mimics the August Gold Futures contract, and a different one...

They are CFDs. They are as far as I can tell a hybrid. The prices reflect mostly the spot-prices, and there are no changes in prices due to contract rollovers. However, as Oanda hedge their positions in the future markets, if their clients position isn't neutral, the financing charges will...

By gearing ration, I mean what I think Oanda is calling leverage ratio. Io. how many times are your investment leveraged up? 1:10, 1:20, 1:50?

Oanda is good. And since you only pay a spread instead of commission, you can do strategies that require a lot of small trades without going broke
