Can't find this option anywhere. Does your broker have it?

Not good. You want to trade silver options and you don't even know that the COMEX symbol for silver is "SI". Put in symbol as "SI", pick futures options, pick DEC and pick 2017. I think you would be better off with a DEC 2015 $30 strike call. Price is about 0.661 and open interest is 117.

How are you trying to find it on TWS? I found it in less than 30 seconds. No bid/offer and close of 0.341.

    Need some volunteers - freebie

I send you a pm with my email address, but I think you need to have 30 posts here at ET to use the pm feature to read it. How about creating a throw away email address we can send our email addresses to? I'm too lazy to create a throw away email address just for this book.

Interactive Brokers margin loan for real estate purchase?

Wrong. It is a standard feature of margin accounts that you can withdraw cash from the account and thus create a margin loan on fully paid for securities held in the account. This doesn't mean that every broker allows it, but margin lending is a profit center for brokerage firms.

    Are there full-time position traders?

There are plenty of position traders around. If it trades then there are position traders trading it. Many of the full timers spend more time doing research than actually doing trades. They also tend to be well capitalized.

System with lack of historical data

Almost any system you come up with will stop working at some point in the future. The market changes and the system dies. Just trade your system until it stops working. You may find out that with real dollars it doesn't work at all.
