i use stops, constantly.
they're sometimes based on price, they're sometimes based on time, sometimes even based on things that 'can't work' like level 2. but i always have them.
and i do use RTM as one of my strategies.
ok; here's the post:
"Feel free to share where you messed up and maybe we can learn from our mistakes"
(emphasis mine).
and yet you continued to post after it.
everything? i'd suggest remedial reading skills rather than looking for a prop firm.
but even if all the...
how could you be up 450% in 2009 when you were stumbling in the market?

yet the same day you were talking about making $500 / day:

surdo - cramer's got some dedicated fans out there. i'd be surprised if you couldn't get at least $25 for it.
of course, that means dealing with crappy ebay / paypal. put it up for $50 through froogle/google checkout, which i think you'd get.
tesla guy on cnbc.
cnbc reporter says something like "what do you think about people like jim cramer who think it's not a good investment?"
his response? close to:
"well, we're not bear stearns. that was one of his picks, bear stearns. he's a contrary indicator"
classic.
oh yeah, i've been not-trading a lot of the time recently.
quick trades, in out, and then do nothing.
learned long ago if i start forcing things when there's no vol, i'll give back money on bad trades. i don't like doing that.

although cramer is cited as just a dupe, the main problem is he recommended lenny all over the place, when it took 5 minutes of time to see that lenny was using a martingale...
reversion to mean.
when a stock goes too far and too fast in one direction, the expectation is that it comes back in. so you're fading the trend.
upside? a good trader can get high % plays from these.
downside? if you have no discipline, you can blow up. and one trade can wipe out a...
swas - i've posted on here about some of the problems with realtick over the years. they bought this great feature called hottrend - and then couldn't properly support it, so it would be down for days on end. the eventual solution was to keep some of the basic hottrend features, but eliminate...
i finally felt sure i could succeed after a little more than 5 years of full time trading. had done part-time before that.
in my first 5 years, one year was negative (would be positive now, since trading fees have dropped considerably). but i wasn't making enough to justify the risk of...
don't know a name for them, i've seen it as well.
they work better on a setup which is already stretched a bit, and starts to break down (end of day) giving your setup - then reverses, leading to a variation of 'turtle soup' (from street smarts) or something like trader vic's 2b.
i would suspect only if an instrument (ie. futures / commodities, or hyper active stock) has a pre-mkt high/low which is stretched far from the opening range high/low.
i know that ORBs have worked on some stocks i follow which were not incredibly active in pre-mkt.
