    I GIVE UP

Your wife and you are using the same code and the same version of QT, trading th If I may. I suggested you the same thing in the past if I remember well. DON'T USE TIMER for your sequence of events. Your move should be based on status of your previous event (not sure if it's possible with QT)...

    I GIVE UP

Every piece of software has its own bugs. A 100% bug free software is impossible. We just need to get alerted as soon as shit happens and make the appropriate measures. In your case, it's probably better to have an imperfect automated algo, prone to bug from time to time, than to not trade at...

    I GIVE UP

Although nothing is perfect, not all automated system needs to be babysitted or monitored. You can do as many errors trading manual vs trading automated. Fat fingers (amongst other things) are usually not generated by automated algos.

    I GIVE UP

That's very bad. You got lucky (in a sense!) that your position went on the right side. That's the drawback of using a third party platform to automate trading. On top of that, you're not the one who had developed it. If your developer was good and if QT allows it, you should have a log of...

What type of a track record do prop firms think is good enough prior to funding you?

If you have friends with 'parked' money and they know your % return, they will likely ask you to manage their money. If you do, then you are stuck with the pressure to perform as good as their expectations. And not everybody can understand and tolerate risks. Been there done that (with limited...

    Index futures automation

I'd switch anytime from a 10-12%/month to a 5%/month strategy with an equity curve like yours, without any losing days. But I suspect that your strategy will face a big loss at one time, whipping out all your gains (and even more). I could be wrong since I don't know any details about your...

What type of a track record do prop firms think is good enough prior to funding you?

I don't know what my Sharpe ratio is. Would need to calculate it. But I don't really care. It won't change anything in my life. Those are metrics used to prove yourself to the rest of the crowd. For those who need them.

What type of a track record do prop firms think is good enough prior to funding you?

Not everybody has >10M$ or >100M$ AUM. The small fish don't get any attention from anyone. Also, a high p.a. come with proportional risks.

You are stating that you are already profitable. You are stating that you have already someone to help you. Not sure what you are looking for and why. And more important, not sure what benefits would be for a person that would be willing to help/assist you. I'm not responding because I would be...

    The practical fractal

The guy calls fractal a simple 5-bar pattern. He said at the beginning that TA is shit, but at the end (1:13:00 ish), he shows many TA indicators that he is using. The guy is a good speaker, but obviously, all this is to sell his tutorials.
