    Monitor recommendations 22"- 24"

Recently picked up a Samsung 2494HM monitor, 1600x1080. Works fine for movies, etc, but text on it is a bit fuzzy and creates a lot of eye strain. Tried other resolutions and it didn't help. Had to resize the setting to keep the icons and taskbar on the window. It's going back. Anyone...

    Iterative Refinement

Wanted to address your points 1,2 and 3 question. Many times on the initial 2 bar tape there isn't a 1,2,3 movement, just using the bar ends. This doesn't happen only with internals, it can happen on a trending pair too. The OB is considered an internal as well, see the document referenced in...

Example attached with both trendlines. Can't answer your question about points 1,2,3 on this type of tape. Just setting the direction of the tape as far as I know.

It was the 4th of Jack's seven cases. Except in the drawing it doesn't show the cloned TL. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1999918

What Guava said. I would add that there are no laterals at all on the section of chart you posted. The "refined version" of lateral movement, the high and low of the 2nd and 3rd bars must be contained within or equal to the 1st bar's high and low. Use the laterals to help see faster...

    Technical Strategy

For anyone following the narration on page 172 (forum default posts per page), around 11-17-08, attached is a YM chart for that period as sometimes it's hard to grab a chart on older contracts.

Spyder' comments regarding the ES day referenced above. Attached is a 15m DAX chart that Polford mentioned in his post, for anyone interested. (nicely done BTW).

    Iterative Refinement

With just a quick look, that's a brutal chart with all the overlap. I'd want to look at some finer tools and probably another time frame - cheat. If we get a typical low volume Summer the ES might look similar to that. Someone posted, at one time, a market that acted as a leader for the...

why this board isn't healthy if you trade for a living

That would work out to 32.6% annualized per year. Or assuming 250 trading days a year, 0.13% per day. If a person only made one point per day in the ES, with no compounding or additional contracts, based on $2K starting margin, it works out to 625% return in one year. $50 per point X 250...

The 14 and 15 together most likely had the b2b at a faster level. The Blue would be considered a tape or at least a faster fractal, but not a traverse. Lose the Green channel and see if that helps. Also review taping to an OB, Jack's "seven cases".

    lol, Dell giving it away

Hands down the XP machine, no question. There are variables but Vista uses a lot of memory from the get go, even if you streamline it. The only exception may be if you get Vista 64 bit and can run more memory. I hear Windows 7 is supposed to be much faster than Vista. FWIW, this is based...

Looking to trade off a Laptop while traveling

That may not be a factor. In my experience you have to have it fixed in the country you purchased it in. So either plan on a local repair out of pocket or bring/buy a spare. If you aren't staying in one place very long, moving around a lot, it's not too realistic to get it fixed. Or you send...
