Getting down and dirty is where the rubber meets the road ...

Which is why Spyder was forever saying "in this specific example." :D While I was trying to narrowly address the pennant to OB annotation/situation, because so many have had trouble with properly annotating an OB, this illustrates why it (like most other things) can't be reduced to a hard and...

Getting down and dirty is where the rubber meets the road ...

I know Dkm has been annotating using the RTL for years so 100 more isn't going to fix this. Obviously you see an error here, but I'm not so sure it's readily apparent or been corrected. Please see the attached, one clip from the 7 cases and one from an older taping pic. There are 2 ways...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

Interesting side note, I asked in the following post, when the current layout or "window attributes" was designed (for editing trend-lines) as they said it was based on the majority of customer requests. And I suggested that they have many new users who use their software in new ways. Also...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

There are a couple improvements we've been trying to get TN to add. If you agree with these please go to their forum any let them know as they will not send it to development unless they get more requests. The two items here are adding more line thicknesses and separating the line thicknesses...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

This is a great little program for changing your cursor to a cross hair. It's great for reviewing chart images, and useful for other graphic programs. Easy to toggle on and off. You can change the size, color and even opacity so you can see through it. It's really reduced eye strain when...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

In the latest update TradeNavigator finally fixed their Dom Wall symbol locations. Now price can bounce between the blocks or arrows. Previously the ask symbol was below the actual wall level.

    Choppy versus Trending

    From Thursday's chart:

How much $ did you lose until you made $ trading ?

Excellent questions. For non-trending internals normally hold for a resumption of the trend while watching in case of a reversal. Not exactly sure about what is meant by non-trending non-internal bars. OB's or stitch (which may be considered internals), doji or spike bars? Or a bar that...

    Iterative Refinement

This is a spreadsheet that shows the effects of adding contracts as an account grows. Only need to adjust the number of contracts and points per day. It's set up for the ES based on $2000 margin per contract. It could be adjusted for other markets by changing the formulas that are based...

There are 3 equity journals. Everything needed for equities should be in there, I can't think of anything that's missing.

DOM ACV and bid/ask WALL used tgether

Thanks for the detailed reply, a really great walk thru. One of these days we're going to have to sit down and nail this even-odd harmonic stuff. Regards - EZ

DOM ACV and bid/ask WALL used tgether

The screen shots were before and after the turn. What happened during the turn? The market went down another point after it hit the wall on the bid. Were orders pulled or was the T&S going off (lots of large orders hitting)? There was no T&S screen shot to view. The wall was pretty...

anyone using a solid state drive ?

There's a guy on here that builds a lot of systems. He told me that a SSD was the single biggest performance improvement you can do for your system, over RAM, CPU speed etc (assuming they're not your bottleneck). Guess it would depend on your application, but overall that's a pretty good...

    Iterative Refinement

As far as I know there wasn't a specific STR/SQZ video. One of the videos on the old site had a small segment on it, it was on a static chart, not real time. You'll find all the same info in the video, and more in Spydertrader's Futures thread. And with a search in a few others.

    Monitor recommendations 22"- 24"

As a follow up ended up going with a Dell 2410wfp. No comparison to the Samsung 2494hm. Small text is surprisingly clear, lots of ports and screen adjustments - tilt, height, can even rotate 90 horizontal to vertical. Very happy with this one.

    Iterative Refinement

Looking for a copy of an older Hershey thread: 11:00 Bust Tommorrow ET did some housekeeping and it was deleted. Anyone have it saved? Thanks - EZ

    Iterative Refinement

Try the software thread, depending on what platform you use the code may already be posted. Generally, if the bar makes a higher high it's black. It would change to red only if it then becomes an OB. Inside bars are either close to close or open to close (same result). - EZ

    Monitor recommendations 22"- 24"

Dell has a 24" model 2408wfp which has received some very good reviews. It's an S-PVA panel which is supposed to be good for photos and text, but high input lag so not the best for the gaming crowd. Though there is a fresh review on their site complaining about the text display. The odd...

    Monitor recommendations 22"- 24"

Transposed the letters on the 2475. Too bad there isn't a definitive guide on text sharpness. Some reviewers problems could just be their settings instead of the monitor. This site had a ranking based on readability: http://wize.com/monitors/t31161-readability

    Monitor recommendations 22"- 24"

Thanks for the replies. There were also a couple suggestions for the HP LP2457W and HP 2408H. Could the resolution have something to do with the text rendering? 16:9 vs 16:10
