anyone trading the US stocks market from tokyo?

Granted, it's not comparable to US and European markets, but it's still better than the Nikkei. Do people even trade in Japan ? Intraday price action of the Nikkei is pure shite, at least for a gajin like me. :D

How to Protect Your Income from Taxation?

If your yearly income is in the seven figure range, it doesn't really matter whether a Wiener Schnitzel costs 100 CHF or whether property is expensive. It's all about percentages, i.e. taxes, then. Still, I wouldn't want to waste my time living in Switzerland or Monacco....boring as hell.

Is this the only broker where you can trade on EBS Prime ?

Marex FX Black. It's not a "typical" CNX hub, though, I was wrong in my post above. http://www.marexfx.com/FXPlatforms/MAREXFXBlack/tabid/72/language/en-US/Default.aspx

Holy shite, 300% rise in the gasoline/crude oil crack spread ? I Have been following the wrong markets.

CL: calendar spreads more liquid than outrights, why?

No problem. I had always assumed that it's the outright futures market where the main action is. I guess for the index futures, this holds true, but not so for the commodities, energies, financials, as it seems.

Is this the only broker where you can trade on EBS Prime ?

Billy, have you got any practical experience with ICAP via Newedge ? Any idea about liquidity ? In the EUR/USD, 40-50M at bid/ask during NY session with 1 pip spread was the best I've seen so far...on a CNX hub.

Is this the only broker where you can trade on EBS Prime ?

Up to 10M ? Well, I hope not, that would be pretty low. A lot of Currenex hubs offer more liquidity on that spread.

CL: calendar spreads more liquid than outrights, why?

Hi local, not sure what you mean by contract being "broken". Anyway, looking to read up on that stuff in the future. I trade outright futures and am perfectly happy with it, but I'm curious by nature.

CL: calendar spreads more liquid than outrights, why?

I don't have any practical experience in spread trading so please bear with me... Following the calendar spreads in CL ( CLH1-CLJ1 ) , I noticed that at the best bid/ask there are constantly much more contracts in the order book than in the corresponding outright contracts....why is that so ?

MB Trading announces Pay for Limits in Forex

Banks are the market makers in FX, agreed. But does Deutsche Bank or Citi Bank care whether Joe Shmoe has just entered a limit order of a position of 50k on his little MB platform ? Most people lose in FX, but so do the stocks and futures traders. Trading is synonymus with losing...

MB Trading announces Pay for Limits in Forex

Intradaybill, I really don't get your point. How could a market maker profit from knowing your position ? And what difference would there be between a limit order and a market order ? Are you implying that a market maker would manipulate the price feed just to take out your stop ...

    Transaction tax in germany

Thanks zdreg. A transaction tax of 0.2 % is the death for any day trader. I remember 0.1% being discussed in Germany just recently, now 0.01% or 0.02 % for one round turn respectively, seems to be favored to get this law passed....anyhow, it's scary.

    Transaction tax in germany

Rats, stray dogs and the homeless are going to take over the highrisers of Frankfurt, should this tax ever become law without any exceptions. Time to learn Mandarin or Cantonese, I guess.
