Wouldn't your 2.5 stop have taken you out of the ES trade?

I was watching the June contract (the high was 1336.25), and it dropped like a rock from there. I didn't trade it, however I think you're on the right track. I learned my lesson on playing breakouts on the ES. I like your way much better. Enjoying your journal.

Looks like a very nice trade occured on the ES. Over a 10 point gain as I type. Nice work!

Looks like the ES is hitting against that upward trend line (from below) on the 15 min.

Are you using the 11:00 am (eastern time) high (1364.00), as your support point, prior to the breakout. Then after the breakout you're looking for a pullback to this point (now support) and have a resting limit order for 1363.75? Great job by the way!

Thanks oldtrader. I updated my TWS and it's up and running.

Here on the east coast, TWS down, charts were lagging, restarted and logged in. Now no qoutes and no tool bar.

The ES bounced off of the R-1 pivot @ 1467 (almost on the money) and went straight to 1473.75. Maybe it would be a good idea to watch the ES pivots when your trading the NQ.

Nice work ST. On your chart where you have the green bar with the green dot ontop, you then have a red down bar, then another red down bar that breaks that previous down bar, then a green bar that breaks to the upside, in line with the trend. Any reason you didn't take that trade? It looks...

I tried to get backfill on 3. The ES, ER2 and the YM. Usually loads up pretty quick, today it took awhile.

I think Google reports earnings on Thur 10/19.
