The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

Agree with Dizzy about the mental stops. I park (prepare) two orders and as soon as I enter a trade with one - I submit my stop order too. During the trade it is very easy to adjust the stop on the fly and control your “trailing stop”.

I might be a good idea, bronks, to place a daily loss limit – say $100. At that point you can have one last trade – unless it’s a winner that brings you back under $100. You would be amazed how that rule forces you to be more selective with your trades. Good trading, bronks...

    Mr Subliminal's Remote Trading Journal

Good luck with e-minis, Mr Subliminal – you'll probably get hooked like the most of us. You will love the fast moves, you will hate being on the wrong side of them. I wouldn’t have it any other way. :)

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

Wide stops are for the wide and deep pocket traders – not for the traders who are trying to survive the game long enough to increase the size of their pockets. I came close to the initial margin in my account – 83 frantic NQ daytrades would do that for you. :D I had no choice but to...

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

Most of us had our backs against the wall, bronks, at one time or the other. Wanting to be a successful trader and at the same time staring the defeat in the face and having that sick feeling in your stomach is not something you ever forget. The worst is the doubt itself. Is this all I can...

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

It’s a tough game, guys. It is tougher for the under funded because you can’t afford to get the trade wrong – so you nibble at your trades – you go for a point, half a point, anything to start the ball rolling and give you some breathing space. I think that starting with $5000 will...
