since i trade in an office there isnt anyone outside of the office that could see my p/l. but i do only tell a few select people how much i make day to day etc. better off that way i think

All though I am fairly new to daytrading (since june of last year) I to have rarely taken a day off, for example i even traded dec 24! Recently I was in california for 10 days and managed to go a whole week without looking at marketwatch even! I think it totally depends on the company you travel...

I agree on all accounts. The US federal reserve isn't stupid, they're the most powerful lending source in the world and they know that. They did there job last week by showing that they are prepared to step in and provide assistance as needed, and will continue to so. I see a .25 or .5 bps cut...

not all prop firms require you to deposit money, i work at a prop firm which req's no deposit. what they do instead is do a fairly structured intensive training period for 3-5 months. As for what happens if you lose money thats totally dependent on the firm. At mine we kept a monthly running...
