Friends, please help me on two questions as I am really confused.
1. If I make I trade today to buy a stock, do I officially own the stock at the end of today (record day), or 3 business days later (settlement day)?

Thanks.
Does anyone here know how often IB updates the stocks for corporate actions?
The WB and WFC merger was completed yesterday. IB still does not show the change of symbol, but Ameritrade has already showed new symbol (WB->WFC).

Let me add something to my question.
For out-the-money credit spread or in-the-money debit spread, is that also a time decay play instead of probability play? Is the iron condor a time decay play, too?
Thanks.
I have heard that the calendar spread is playing time decay, while credit spread is playing probability. For me, it is quite confusing, because credit spread, or debit spread is play time decay, too.
Can someone give a clarification? Thanks.
