The only thing got me going is knowing Spike spent 15 years?? to craft his trading... why can't I do the same? We don't have to go this way or that way but we must "improve"... get better or get eliminated when eveyone else got better. :(

I am still pretty much trading my own discretionary system and Spike's basic philosophy helped reduce the volatility. I have tested some of his ideas separately in a mechanical way with Tradestation using some pretty good indicators. As Spike indicated, they are NOT profitable, so be careful...

From my experience, just by merely following a third or a quarter of Spike's equation, i.e. not fading the trend, I got my profit up 50%-75% (trading my own system without major adjustment). It's painful to see missing trades but it is good for overall mental health... I am still taking baby...

Hi billp, I searched for all of Spike's trading related posts and read them all. I will tell you why they are different. They are coming from a very rare trader. You might have heard the same words before but it's different coming from him. If I tell you what they are about, it will be...

IMHO, why look for your own way when there is a map made available... I understand what you are saying... You have to trade a system that fits your personality but after a while I think it is possible to push the envelop.

I agree. Spike got some supernatural power. I tried to emulate poorly at times. It's gonna take hell a lot more to do what he does. But his message on priority is very clear. Too bad I did not read his posts here today (went to a chat room)... would have helped me stay with my position longer.

Is anyone familiar with John Carter?

I read from the Tradestation forums that they took all the indicators such as Squeeze (became Hubert's Squeeze) and sell them for $300. BTW, I've gotten some trend indicators and market profile stuff from the tradestation forum for free (because there are still some good people on Earth) and...

Hi BB and B1S2, Yup, accepting the risk is certainly the mantra however it is not enough because low risk doesn't mean high quality. I was able to find low risk trades with some entry techniques before but my trading results were volatile... doing super one month and then hell days on the...

Hey London, Thanks for the warning. I guess it is a matter of patience and getting used to things. The danger in my mind is more of not knowing where the danger lies both in the market and in personal development. I need to survive in order to have a chance... knowing the dangers help a...

In my trading development, I "try" to implement things at my own level and work my way up slowly but I have to know where the danger is... If I don't know where the danger is then I might not even have a chance to get to the next level of development. :(

Romik... I was wrong... Spike could double whatever money in his account in a WEEK.

I guess I could be wrong but I know Spike is much much better trader than I am.

4.7 points per trade doesn't add up. Say he trades only 5 contracts, he would be only making a point per contract. I think I can do that.

I could be wrong but I remember he said he trade $2000 margin per contract but true he probably pulls money out of the account.

Romik, I think Spike is really talking about 4.7 point per CONTRACT since he has to do size because of the rate he is printing out money. We are talking about Stratosphere here.
