how is it that twitters takes in over 500million but loses 130 million net?

Yeah it all sounds like Hollywood math. I don't understand how any of it works. Taking in so much cash yet actually ending up in the red by 130 million.

how is it that twitters takes in over 500million but loses 130 million net?

How is this possible? how could they have so much expense that it costs 630 million to run this company? colo servers cannot cost to much to run twitter, its not exactly a heavy duty web app. so where does all the money go that they actually lose 21 cents per share? It looks to me like the...

When to Place Option orders ( When the Market is Closed ) ....

Actually thats wrong. if you are long an option and its 1 penny ITM you will get automatic exercise by the OCC. You need to call your broker before market ends and give explicit no exercise instruction.

    Paul Tudor Jones Trading Rules

Good advice on not trading unless there is an opportunity. I was on the sidelines for weeks waiting for an opportunity, It arrived with the greek panic and the big VIX pop. I went and took advantage and made a nice profit shorting VOL.

Regular Log Calls and Puts , opinions please .....

low VIX does not mean the option on that stock will have a low IV. if there is news expected for that stock, the IV will be higher. but you can easily buy a long options position and still lose money even if the news is what you expected.

    Options Prices after Earnings

Thats called IV collapse. Buying a near money call with an IV at 150 close to earnings is asking for a massive scalping. Yeah you will see a big collapse in the price of the option once earnings passed (UNLESS some black swan earnings event occurs)

    Selling naked puts option strategy

I sell puts to go long SPY I sold 209s and collected 5.30 I do it for my SPY long term portfolio. I get lower volatility and smoother returns. I was short the 209s on SPY and collected a premium of 5.31 cents when I sold them, I ended up put stock with barely any intrinsic value (Which was...

209 puts ask less than intrinsic why?

The 209 puts that expire today had an ask of 97 cents but the intrinsic value was 105 cents. Why would that be the case? if it has zero extrinsic value, the last ask before closing should match intrinsic right? final print was 83 cents. final market print for the SPY was 207.95

Are you a successful at home day trader with no other source of income who began with modest means?

To earn a living trading 150k you would need to make 70-80k a year consistently. That would mean a 53% Annual return on 150k consistently. Which I find a bit hard to believe unless you are taking excessive risk via leverage, then it just means it is a matter of time before you blow out your...

Are you a successful at home day trader with no other source of income who began with modest means?

I find it a bit hard to believe that you are making a good earning, living in multiple waterfront mansions by trading 150k worth of capital.

Are you a successful at home day trader with no other source of income who began with modest means?

Larger capital means you need less leverage to make earning income. i trade SPY and its options, max borrow against assets is 10%. So I use a small amount of margin and I never have a concentrated position. I would not be able to do what I do with a 25k account etc..

150k trading capital, multiple oceanfront mansions from trading 150k? Hummm. Sounds like a nice tall tale.
