    Trading Woodie's CCI ;-)

I have never traded woodies method either, but if I remember correctly... rule states that you enter like 15 sec before the close of the bar. If you wait till the close of the bar it's too late. So yes, you enter before the candle has completed.

yea... it took me awhile to understand this setup too. Much more reliable than the other type imo.

thanks AMT. Separate methods is what I was sort of thinking of too :) As far as accuracy, were you guys able to get very good results? When I traded RD's I think I got around 55% Not that good. Maybe that zeroline trigger would have helped. Exits was what gave me that slight edge. I...

so it is possible to have and eat the cake at the same time? :D Are they doing this as 2 separate systems? Or are they able to assess current market conditions so they can switch back and forth? Interesting, I'll have to keep an eye out for their posts.

tradersaavy, Agreed, learning process is a never ending process... No, I'm trading something else that hasn't been mentioned here. It's a retracement type method. As far as your question. I don't know. I'm not aware of such things. I just try to move my stop to breakeven to cut...

tradersaavy, you've mentioned about profit taking at that other thread. Was there an issue you wanted to discuss?

Yes, I am familiar with those. Yes, in those cases the zero line filter would be good. Or, enter earlier and move stop to breakeven sooner resulting in breakeven trades is another alternative. I traded RD's when I traded the euro/usd. I found the zero line to be a bit slow for the market and...

true, but waiting for macd crossing the zero line is a bit late. Could be a good possibility that majority of the move has expired by this time. To get out of the trade? What do you mean, profit taking exits or initial stop?

PIR??? I've always watched the porsches go around that track while playing at Heron. There are two courses at Heron Lakes. Not sure which ones better... I think the one that's closer to PIR is better? I haven't played either of them since high school. Pumpkins nice. My parents had a...

I guess it'll have to be at a public course then :D I haven't played much myself. I'm not a member at a private club anymore either. Heron Lakes, East Moreland, Tukwilla are pretty decent public courses. It may be a bit difficult to coordinate this with others. Maybe this could be a side...

what a BEAUTIFUL day in Portland today. I had an idea. If everyones a golfer, how about we meet up at a golf course? If our meeting is going to be small, lets say less than 10, we could probably fit in a couple of foursomes out. comments?

Richard, I trade a system I developed :) Seems like there are more votes for Sunday and Portland. There was one post from someone from Eugene. I think Seattle will be too much of a drive for him? :) I can make any weekend.

Portland is obviously preferred for me, but I can drive to Seattle as well. I can attend a Sunday meeting, but Friday or Saturday is best for me.

    Trading Woodie's CCI ;-)

i use a retracement type method now. Keeps me out of choppy conditions. My question sort of backfired on me, haha. The point I was trying to make was that there is no perfect method. Everything has some sort of drawback to it.

well this is my belief only... but my opinion is, prediction has nothing to do with making money in the market. Doesn't make sense though, does it? It does to me though. BetonMarket? Well glad you found the answer I haven't bothered to answer :D peace
