I've used the Mar, Jun, Sep and Dec expiration and then spreaded them with six months apart. Thus, trading Jun/Dec and Sep/Mar10. I agree that they trend well enough to just use indicators, I've been using the Daily timeframe.
Notice that AAA's initial article isn't written by a JOURNALIST at all, it's a story from PR Newswire. No doubt paid by the Karl Rove worshipping minions of the dark hallways of the Republican party.
It's all lies.

What a totally moronic question. Let me ask you this; why wasn't America hit with a domestic attack until W. had spent some time in the White House? Idiot.
Oh, wait. He didn't spend it in the WH. He was constantly ON VACATION!!!
I read Lukeman's book when it came out, and found it pretty good at it's time. Today it's probably not that special or relevant but I would say it gives some insight into the processes a market maker (in stocks) go through.
Banging against a wall here, and reaching out:
Does anyone have a good technique for checking if your stoploss has taken you out of the market? I guess you can have a flag that's cleared by all the other exit methods and if you're left with a marketposition = 0 but the flag still set you can...
Although I disagree with (some of) his political views, he's a decent and experienced trader and definitely has added a lot of value to the site over the years. Just because he's doing some pro work is no need to slag him off imho.
Just wanted to update and say that I've spent some time with FXi and EBS (watching, not trading on them) and thought I'd offer my opinion:
EBS is fine for EURUSD, and I guess for USDJPY but from there on it goes downhill and never matches FXi. I'm talking spreads, not size of course - if...
I've actually gone long this morning with a timeframe of 2-5 weeks. Although I agree there's still more downside and that this isn't THE bottom to end them all, I think we're in for a small rally to the upside now. Last week had this undescribable capitulation feel to it, at the same time I've...
Well, you are in fact right, kiwi. It's just that even with the VIP people at IB it takes some time to get straight answers on tech questions - so I figured I'd invest a minute to see if someone here actually knew and enlighten the community in the process. I'll try to get some straight answers...
I'm looking for information on where IBs US servers are located, and some ideas for places to host a rackserver nearby. I seem to recall from somewhere that it's in NJ, would that be correct? Any pointers appreciated.
Apologies for the late reply. I have an account on FXi, but I have not used it (yet) and have actually not seen the live feed there either. So I cannot comment on it. People seem to be saying that since summer of last year it's become a lot worse and not really worth pursuing.
But: If the system has a Profit Target then it's bound to get out somewhere - that would be your stop. I think it would depend on how the system defines it's PT - if it's the kind of "let your profits run and wait for a signal in the opposite direction" then you can very well go bankrupt waiting...
