I sold the 7 RIMM puts for a loss at $0.89. First loss so far. The loss was -$778.90. I did sell ACN for $2.75 getting a nice return there. The gain was $1470.00. My account is now at $16,773.70. I think I might have enough for a nice Christmas present to the wife. :D

Bought 7 RIMM Dec. 40 puts at $2.03 for ($1,435.95) Bought 10 ACN Dec. 30 calls at $1.25 for ($1,264.95) I think earnings are tonight, we'll see what happens tomorrow. :D :D

Sold those 6 NKE calls at $2.75 and closed out 7 FDX puts at $1.60 with more gains coming in. Gains on NKE was $240.10, and gains on FDX was $75.10. Small additions, but I'm finally showing some light woooohoooo. Account is now at $16,082.60.

Bought 6 NKE Dec. 50 calls at $2.30 for ($1394.95) Bought 7 FDX Dec. 65 puts at $1.45 for ($1029.95) Looking to add more profits onto my tiny account.

Sold those 6 JOYG Dec. 22.5 calls at this morning at $3.00. My gains here are $810.10. My account is now at $15,767.40 I'd say another nice and solid trade. Where's the guy doing credit spreads that wanted to sell me his options? I'll take it. :D

For today, bought 6 JOYG Dec. 22.5 calls at $1.60 for $974.95. Let's see if I can keep the run going. I believe JOYG is out with earnings tomorrow AM.

Thanks Wayne, I did sell those GS calls, closing 10 at $2.65. My gains on that trade is $620. Account is now at $14,957.30 and I am all cash.

yep, sold 5 FDS at $4.20 for a gain of $1095.10. Still holding my 10 GS calls, I think it can move above $2.00. My account is now at $14,337.30 without the GS gain/loss. I've gained $2,337.30 since trading again the past 2 weeks. I started with $10,000 it dropped to $7900. deposited more...

So it must be people like you that I plan on making profits on then. Good luck to you, I think FDS and GS both move higher and pay me off.

I have OX, and they have a great platform, with option pricing calculations, very good charts, quotes, and a decent streamer. Comm. rates are $14.95 ($12.95 for active users) min. and beyond 10 contracts its $1.50 per contract ($1.25 for active users).

Thanks for the brokerage update, I know OptionsXpress does have a lot of useful tools. Their charts and scans are tops to me, just the pricey commission that used to be tops too, but is now beaten by others like IB, TOS, TK. And true averaging down is probably bad news, but we will see how that...

Added another 5 FDS Dec. 35 calls at $2.00. As for those GS calls, earnings tomorrow can push a stock from $65 to $80 on a surprise. Earnings are always the wild cards right? At this point, its all or nothing.

In addition to the GS trade, also bought 5 FDS Dec. 35 calls at $1.95 for ($989.95).

I'd say leverage is the biggest factor in switching to options. I think you can get a nice return on stocks at this level of volatility too though.

Bought 10 GS Dec. 75 calls at $2.00 for ($2,015). Looking for some upside to earnings.

Sold all 12 calls at $1.90 and received $2262. My net gain on this trade is $72.10. Not bad considering COST's move against my options. Account is now at $13,242.20.

Added another 6 COST Dec. 52.5 calls at $1.40 for (854.95). My average price is now at $1.80. Let's hope COST rallies enough for me to get out.

Okay, I couldn't sit around with this gain any longer. I closed out those 8 AZO Dec. 125 calls at $5.00 for $3985.05. Looks like my net profit for this trade is $1170.10. Nice start for me with my account now at $13170.10. Can't believe the guy called me stupid. I wonder if he had a nice...

As expected, I find ruins in a matter of months harsh. Why not give me a year before the ruin part kicks in. Given that I'm still trading, we'll leave the ruin part until it comes. I think AZO hits $130 tomorrow and I get out for a small win.
