    Ensign free trial

Over the weekend there was a discussion about Ensign and it was thought that they didn't offer a free trial - it doesn't say anything about a free trial on the website. I contacted Howard today to see what the situation was and here's what he sent me... "Installing the program gives you a 1...

    Your favorite indicator

The moon - ie lunar calendar. It might not perform the best, but I like looking at it so it's my favourite cause it looks pretty. Then I add the Square of degrees and it just looks like it's gotta make money. I don't use it for trading though!

Daytrading S&P: The Hardest Game in Town

"Frequently, the range will be 10 basis points or more. In e-mini S&P (which is one-fifth the size of the full S&P contract), this translates into a $500 daily range. Most daytraders new to the game are laboring under the false impression that a small stop loss will protect them from big losses...

lol acronym. Isn't that the dream we all bought into before we crashed and burned? You're dead right mate, but I found out that 20 years hard work with countless 100 hour weeks produces results my pixie dust couldn't. A perfect all-in-one platform is a perfect way to loose your shirt if you...

What are the issues aspiring traders want help with?

TimDog, the most important thing is to become familiar enough with a few tools that you have proven with set ups that really work 80% + of the time. If you clutter your chart you get analysis paralysis. Trend lines and horizontals are ESSENTIAL and channels are a superb use of trend lines.The...

What are the issues aspiring traders want help with?

TimDog, the 2 - 4 day timeframe is tricky for S&R because price daily price action doesn't show reversal points in that timeframe. I have good examples of what I look at but first lets deal with targets. I seldom use targets because it can keep me in too long or make me pull out too early, so...

What are the issues aspiring traders want help with?

tyler, part of the discovery process for you will be finding a timeframe that suits your risk profile and this affects the finer points in S&R. I will assume you have grasped basic S&R concepts like horizontals from hi/lo's and trendlines. I would suggest you work out what suits you on...

    Fundamental -vs- Technical Analysis

Arnie gave a great answer. I use indicators as well as price action. If fundamentals work best for you, go with it. If you can really make it work, there's a big demand for someone with something to say on fundamentals that's relavent to trading. Years back I worked for a broker in London and...

What do you think of this entry by Eckhardt?

Eckhardt, poor chap, doesn't understand the scope of TA. A scapler looks for turning points in price action - that's all. Doesn't matter if it's a robot, mass psychology or a news driven event that turns price. His grasp of maths is do doubt fantastic, but I suspect it comes at the expense of a...
