    Esignal outage

Can you guys take your childish comments about each other to another thread ? That would allow esignal to post updates here and we could focus our childish comments on them. :D

    Esignal outage

How do we know when esignal system has stabilized and data /charts are working correctly? Can you push a message to users, like a pop-up box?

    Esignal outage

I'm happy they "...continue to put full attention on the matter. ..." Lets see, none of your customers are getting what they pay for and esignal rep has to say that? Dang, customers can sure ruin a good day!

    Daytrading Gold/Silver

Its OK daytrading gold/silver, more action in trading OIH & GOOG though. Metals get boring mid-day. I usually trade metals from 7.30AM until NYSE opens and then maybe into the NY metals close.

IB - Why do you treat my Credit Union like a joke?

IB is actually very good at posting their policies, procedures and fees. I admire that and wish all brokers were as open about these things. If you dont like their setup, why not find someone else instead of complaining here?

    IB: SIPC protection

It depends upon what scenario you're talking about which could seperate you from your money. My strong suggestion would be to spend $1,000 with a securities lawyer to understand the various scenarios which can occur and what your coverage/protection would be in each. Another idea would be...

    Internships in NYC

No professional firm in trading will hire a 17 yearold. 1. You're underage 2. Most will only hire Juniors from college, some may hire connected sophmores. If you want to work at a top firm, you need at least a 3.4 from an Ivy, a 3.75+ from non-top tier schools. If you're looking in...

    ping times

Try using ping plotter for speeds to your price server and then poke around dslreports.com for tips on how to "speed up" your pc, connection etc. There are a bunch of variables that affect what you're concerned about.

    Unethical Conduct by IB

    1. The brokers create the us v them attitude by immediately invoking agreements that most retail customers sign but dont read and generally lack the legal firepower to understand. 2. Splitting trades is a very fair way to resolve issues of mutual error. 3. None of us know how any court...

Entry Barriers To a Professional Trading Career

IT guys at large trade houses make very good money with none of the risk of being a trader. Its a very good gig.

    Unethical Conduct by IB

Three curious things- 1. If you see a customer not being treated fairly at other business', most people dont go back. From the comments here, most of you appear to think he was treated fairly. Odd. 2. No one here knows if the broker's rep has the authority to say any of whats being said...

    Unethical Conduct by IB

IMHO, its more interesting to see how IB treats customers when a problem pops up in a public forum.

    Unethical Conduct by IB

IB's key comment is --> "...This may change given the recent problem with delayed reporting...." IMHO, that says its not an isolated problem. Go get a lawyer.

    Unethical Conduct by IB

Most professionals rely upon the maxim "accepted market practice". Its not an accepted market practice to make a legit customer wait 30 minutes, or whatever it was, for a fill. If a platform isnt working correctly , its not the customers problem.

    Unethical Conduct by IB

The brokers will ALWAYS claim their paperwork protects them against everything. But its a judges decision not theirs. If it smells funny, or is too one-sided most courts will rule in your favor. Go get a lawyer and sue. Take depositions, force them to generate tons of papwerwork for you...
