    Banking Equities Plummeting and FOMC?

There's no parade to rain on to my knowledge. I was not asking a question earlier, but stating a rhetorical. A short call is selling (writing) a call option to pocket the premium received from someone like me who buys them. I did not write a call option. I bought one. I thought I made that...

    Banking Equities Plummeting and FOMC?

I believe I missed something. Plain vanilla calls are long, plain vanilla puts are short in essence, right? I think it's going up so call.

Saxo is terrible. Why on Earth would anyone do CFDs? Or at least I don't like them. p.s. directional vanilla option

    Banking Equities Plummeting and FOMC?

@vanzandt, I will definitely be doing a GS play, just not that one. Banking sector down -1.37% based upon a avg vol weighted measurement. Avg vol for NYSE banking stocks is 326,691,200 for the day. However, only 164,445,000 have been as of 10:40 am PST. That is more than halfway through the day...

    Crude is screwed, man.

Oil sector is down today by 3.8% when weighted by avg. vol. of all equities in the industry.

    Banking Equities Plummeting and FOMC?

Are banking stocks dropping on pre-announcement jitters conerning the Fed? The decision is considered to be a foregone conclusion. Additionally, it would seem like "this too shall pass", rather quickly. I like what @tommcginnis said in another post "announcement at 2, then add fuel to fire...

Market Data Subscriptions to Cover Level II of US Stocks

Yes, that's correct. Unfortunately, pro fees are much much higher. Just wait until you see the volume license fees. I didn't register with them as a professional. They deemed me a professional according to some SEC rules, I think. What choices are those?

Exotic options: Single- and Double-Barrier Options

Agreed. If I am bullish, why not agree upon a floor knock-out to save on the premium. I actually didn't think that anybody outside of a huge firm did the delta-neutral thing. Thanks for the info earlier.

Exotic options: Single- and Double-Barrier Options

Yes, yes. How proud of yourself you are. I trade vanilla options directionally. It is your choice not to. The amount of traders who place algorithmic trades has gone from 10% to 60%. This excludes the HFT boys who do the churn and burn. These are algorithmic, directional trades. p.s. I trade my...

Market Data Subscriptions to Cover Level II of US Stocks

Yes, that's correct. P.S. Since you say that you want to watch the entire market, I imagine you will probably be wanting to see more than 100 equities at a time. You should consider using their "Quote Booster" packs that give you 100 additional lines per pack.

    Limited strikes

The spreads I am looking at are always wider the deeper into the money you go. That being said, I usually place a limit order near the midpoint and it gets filled pretty quickly.

Exotic options: Single- and Double-Barrier Options

Does anybody here trade any form of exotic options? I wanted to trade some knock-out options like double-barrier. When I trade an option, I usually have about what price it is going to, what range, and in a specified period of time. With vanilla options, I can't capitalize upon this knowledge...

So then what I was asking is if you are using a trailing stop or the 144.xx-3.5 as you mentioned. If you are using the trailing 3.5 stop and you are stopped out, will you re-enter?
