Transaction Tax Bill has now been introduced

Guys are you mathematically challenged or what??? It would add approximately $200 round turn to the cost of trading A SINGLE Emini S&P contract. Emini S&P @ 800.00 x 50/pt = $40,000 x .25 = $100.00 per side. If you trade 10 lots, you pay $2000 for a round trip!

    $2,500 to $1M in 180 days

Absolutely correct. I was told by Joe Ross once that the whole thing was set up with several accounts, with the winners only showing in the official account. Joe said that the firm who organized the contest had offered to do the same for him :-)

BT is excellent.... been using it for a long time now and never a problem... ony thing I would with for: what would be GREAT are trade analysis tools like Ninjatrader has, such as Win/ Loss, MAE etc... But Hoi emailed me once that they had considered it but thought it was better just to do...

How did Anek make a 100 grand today?

This must be the redneck idiot from Australia in his newest incarnation. (Hint: The aggression, the jealousy, and the primitive wording....) :)

    Multicharts Data Holes

I know this now the official MC story, but I don't believe it's true: I had data holes appear one week where the previous week there were none. MC said that the people that experience holes had shared the same databases so had the exact same holes. Not true in my case. I guess the randomly...

    Multicharts Data Holes

It is possible and I hope that it will be indeed fixed in 5.02. I sincerely hope so, yet remain skeptical until proven wrong since this was promised before.....

    Multicharts Data Holes

If you use fixed Volume bar charts, with data going back over months (and years), Multicharts plots a chart where suddenly a month or 2 weeks are missing. Screws up the chart completely and makes it impossible to read clearly.

    Multicharts Data Holes

Multicharts was supposed to be a better Tradestation, basically TS without the attitude. I have been using the program since the beginning, but have about had it with the fact that they can not seem to fix a big problem: The sofware creates random data holes in longer term (Swing) volume bar...

    Multicharts User Thread

I am a user of Multicharts for 3 years (since the beginning) and use no other software at the moment. MC was a promising program, but has a serious issue that does not go away: longer term charts create data holes like a Swiss cheese when you load them. Then you have to manually clean the...

No. Not unless you are Van Tharp. :)

Ah - OK, Thanks! Let's hope that this is resolved and the scanner is introduced and works, then we should have a great program....

    Multicharts User Thread

????? I know not one but several people that have this problem... actually, at least one of them is in contact with Dennis Globa, who has aknowledged the problem to be a MC issue and is apparently working on it.

    Multicharts User Thread

The biggest issues I have with Multicharts: 1. the data holes in the Swingcharts (with esignal). If you load a bunch of charts with indicators on them, you get days of data mssing. Big problem because it screws up all the charts. 2. Slow loading of these swingcharts. Reducing data etc...

Trading is Bad for your Mental Health

Took me a long time to get that. Once I did, I got into an argument with Van Tharp. I told him that his thesis ("Trading success is all money management and psychology") was faulty: -Tiger woods has great psychological skills, sure, but for a weekend player to assume that this is his major...

Duref Mudgins Invites Jack Hershey to Reminisce

Regarding the PVT, there was a summary of all the trades called and the result in the Spyder Equities Thread somewhere, i think at the end- go look for it. Also, somebody backtested it partially in the PVT Test thread, before the thread got out of control due to lack of/ incompetent moderating...

Duref Mudgins Invites Jack Hershey to Reminisce

Now why would you possibly assume that anybody demonstrating a method FOR FREE on an internet forum somehow OWES you track records? Jack or Spyder are not your hedge fund managers. You are not paying them a commission or giving them your funds to manage. They offer you a method for free...

    Some questions about Mirus Futures

I used to have problems with NT (it seemed to hang and lag with Eurex), so I switched to Buttontrader. Much better front end IMHO, just great, never a problem. But now I am getting seriously tired of esignal, for datafeed issues... so I am looking at zenfire/ Mirus, problem is- Mirus does not...
