From what I know, it depends of the broker's clearing company. Some like Penson allow endless daytrading of all options regardless of account balance and some like IB allow no daytrading of equity or index options without at least 25k.

Its a tough problem. Kerry is pathetic with his recent pledge to increase the # of troops in Iraq coupled with his vote for the war. Nader continues to poll around 5% which is enough to give Bush the election. I am fairly sure most of this Nader vote, including mine, is a rejection of Kerry's...

Exchanges are made up of members who make their living making markets- aka orders on both sides of the market. Allowing customers to do this would eat into their source of income. BTW, this has nothing to do with IB.

Me too..... From what I understand, most of the illegal drugs, especially if they are clean, are not as dangerous to self and other as the currently legal drugs alcohol and tobacco.

I can understand some of the complaints that led to this banning- ART could be positively brutal and not let go of his target. Nevertheless, he had one of the best developed BS sensors of anyone here and overall IMO the chartroom was better and more sober for it. Douglas' early stage traders...

Mac OS X is nearly bulletproof these days. You will find limited trading software, but no viruses, spyware or crashes. If you can work with the available software, its the way to go IMO. Virtual PC, the PC emulator is very usable on a fast dual G4 but does not yet work on the dual G5.

You should read what ART actually posted. You will see documentation that Japan was trying to surrender for months before the bomb and the choice to irradiate the Japanese cities had much more to do with terrorizing the USSR than saving US lives.
