    Negative reactions from relatives

Most of the time I say "I manage and invest our savings"... Sometimes, I have "It sounds risky" and my answer is always "Not having savings and investments sound risky to me".

Order Lag in Tradestation. Please Help

If you use free routes with a broker, it means that your orders will often transit more and slip more but you could have more liquidity if it is a thin market. I use Tradestation and Multicharts, both to trade futures markets. I can tell that the typical problem that I had with Tradestation...

FIFO rule kills futures traders profits!

I understand, this is not the best "visually" for a scalper who uses charts with multiple entries. Since the FIFO rule is used in the US, I doubt that you will find a platform that would show an entry price average. A solution could be to see all trades really independent to each other, with...

Minor issues with how to accurately track daily trade performance. Commercial solutions?

I just tried Tradersync: Apparently not for Futures which is a no go for me. Also, it is still a "manual trade or import" function. I will keep the reel time trade recording which is just amazing with Journalytix. Best!

Minor issues with how to accurately track daily trade performance. Commercial solutions?

I think you can test Journalytix for one or two weeks. I attached 3 screenshots. I really like the reel time trade recording and also other functionalities like economic news remainders. I will soon try (one week free) Tradersync. It looks like we could have more analysis from our trades...

Minor issues with how to accurately track daily trade performance. Commercial solutions?

I use journalytix from jigsaw; it's independent from jigsaw trading platform. It is accurate and works in reel time, which is terrific: no need to wait the end of the day to import your trades. I also recently discovered tradersync which looks amazing. I didn't check yet all the features.

    Next Steps?

You make money now. It works for you, so keep it how it is. Review your trades and whatever you come up with, paper trade first and don't take the risk to undo what you accomplished. And most of all, focus on the risks (all kind of risks). Regarding how much % of your capital you risk at...

    Does the market really change?

So, the question was "Does the market really change?". ...Obviously people don't change :) What changes: The money flow (not the indicator..), the tech, the strategies that people use and the business cycles.

TradeStation 9.5 - Strange strategy execution

I am not a coder, but when you say " If Close > Average(Close,50)... then Buy next bar at market " you will have a buy at every single bar after the Close is > at average... because the condition is still true at every bar until market reverse to "close < average..." You could say "if close...

since we know that all trading courses are bullshit, what would you actually look for in one?

You said: "f I had to "start over," I would focus on books that teach: 3) Understand the odds and what leads to positive expectancy. Google the term..? Sure.

since we know that all trading courses are bullshit, what would you actually look for in one?

Any suggestion? For some reason, I can't find one in my personal collection.. :( I really agree with the importance of understanding the odds and what leads to positive expectancy.

There is nothing better than manual backtest, especially on a replay mode.

    Daily loss limit

Part of my methodology, at least when day trading and scalping the NQ future: 1. I think being successful and consistent = edge + being disciplined 2. Hard stop at 50 ticks 3. Mental stop between 10 and 35 ticks, depending on the setups and market nervousness 4. Daily max loss = 100 ticks 5. As...

    Scalping is risky ?

This is a free economic calendar: https://us.econoday.com/byweek.asp?cust=us The DOM is the best tool to see how "nervous and fast" is the NQ. Regarding the minimum or average amount of cash you should have in your account to be able to scalp or trade the NQ: That should be the result of...

    Scalping is risky ?

    1. I don't trade on Fed days and I am usually very bad on Fridays. When I reach my maximum daily loss, I just stop trading. When the NQ is too fast and I see that on the DOM, I don't trade. 2. My average win rate is > 62%. So, yes I loose, like (almost) everybody. I tend to close losing...
