Internet Kill-Switch bill sneaking through Congress - it's for your own good

You guys should read 'CROSSING THE RUBICON' to learn more about the War that Never Ends. Its author is Michael Ruppert. You can pick up a copy from Amazon.com. It's not just Obama & Lieberman who want to take your liberties away& install one world government.

Congrats to my buddy Aaron at Schindler Trading up over 13% in July....

There are a lot of COLD & TIMID SOULS on this website. Few, if any of the flamers here have managed money professionally or make their track records public. And those who do manage funds are mature, and respect the efforts of others, whether they may win or lose. I quote Teddy...

Is owning a home mostly a bad thing?

Your home is a LIABILITY, not an asset. An asset provides a positive income stream; a liability provides a negative income stream. I sold my condo in 2007 because it seemed very expensive and have rented units in luxury condos every since. I am CERTAIN my rent payments DO NOT cover hte...

    RBOB gasoline market making

I used to trade RBOB for my personal account, in my pre-CTA days. That market should go back to being priced in 1/20th of a penny, e.g. $1.8565, 1.8560, 1.8555. The way it is now is just....stupid. There are better markets to scalp, if that's your cup of Tea.

    afternoon bounce?

If 1083 can hold, basis Sept. we may be able to recover some losses. The problem right now is equity traders are beginning to look to what the Debt market is saying (deflation!). :D

    Chicago taken to the cleaners

+1 Daley's a disgrace to the city of Chicago. That fool should retire already and go home to his sick wife.

    Matt Simmons Has Died

Interesting timing. Heart attack?! From a 'local' news station: "NORTH HAVEN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The Knox County Sheriff's Department says Matthew Simmons, the founder of the Ocean Energy Institute, drowned at his house on North Haven late Sunday night. Simmons was a leading...

Perpetual, I spent 100K to go to school and cannot earn income.

Mayhem, I agree with most of what you wrote. I googled her name and the NYT article appeared. Seeing the picture of an overweight, middle-aged white woman with a cat surfing the net in a futile attempt to stay fed is...well, sad. Quite sad. But it's true she bought a bill of goods when...

    traderscapital.net

I know these guys & can't say anything good about them. Once you're busted for THEFT it's hard to be taken seriously. One writer said Honor was like an island with a rugged shore; once you leave you can never return. Eli wants you to trade 5-10 lots with your $2,000 - $5000 as first in...

Warning to traders, please take this seriously

Dear Jeff, but how do you extrapolate what the 'language' will be three months out? i can understand some data mining if one had privileged access to web traffic but I am confounded how you know what's coming over the next three months. I do agree with you on your political position...

BP hides oil with toxic dispersants

Utterly despicable behavior on the part of BP and their cretins; utterly UNFORGIVABLE acquiescence by Obama and his marxists cowards. Naturally, A Whale and other skimmers could have cleaned up much of the oil but of course it would 'look' worse to the public, or so BP thinks. Let's hope...

    Bond Futures turned 2 Sh*t

+1 I got out of the long-bond market soon after they increased the minimum tick size. Now I just stick to the 10-yr. when I want to trade treasuries. My advice would be to make the change yourself; ZN has been very liquid to trade and is technical in nature. GL!

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

FUCK THESE COMMUNISTS who have no better ideas than to TAX hard-working Americans! As November approaches I become angrier and angrier..... The (angry) Chicago CTA

    Commodities Broker, but what next?

Laz, IMO you should be very smart with your personal finances, save money as much as possible and begin trading your own account to learn more about your business. You can even trade a $50k simulator to gain practical experience. You're right about the brokerage industry...commissions get...

    My trading story (need advice)

+1 EDIT: Re-read your post. Just trade for yourself & keep 100% of your profits, minus what the DC socialists and IRS take from you! GL!

    the Managed Futures mirage

Myhello, I would advise you to sign up with Altegris for free information on CTAs. They are www dot managedfutures dot com. (No, I'm not affiliated with them). I prefer their site to both BarclayHedge and Autumngold. By registering with them you get detailed access including D-Docs for...

    the Managed Futures mirage

I've noticed that for JUNE 2010, 19 of the top 20 performers were "emerging" CTAs. One was "established" with AUM of $220mm. The others ranged from approximately $100k to $34mm AUM. It would be interesting to hear from some established CTAs/CPOs who observed changes in their performance...

Massive Drain Of COMEX Silver Inventories Continues

+1 The author seemingly owns a Silver Coin Dealership. Would you trust Colonel Sanders if he shouted that chicken prices are about to rally hard?? Probably not. That said, there is of course a massive paper shuffle to cover short bets but I don't see any chance for a panic just yet...

Only losers daytrade from their own home?

Cigar Garcia: I would respond affirmatively to the last *two* questions you posed. But I would only partly agree about successful people not running businesses from home. I think working from home can be very enjoyable for most people, myself included. Right now I work in an office...

    Any professional CTA's? Prop'ees?

When you create your disclosure documents it's irrelevant whether you traded your own personal funds, family funds or "proprietary funds." If it's not another person/ entity's money with POA, you'll have to list your trading performance as "proprietary," which isn't really a big deal, IMHO...
