Bought 300 shares in an Australia ETF (EWA)...

Don't forget that any foreign equity ETF also implies an exposure to the exchange rate (unless it employs hedging), so you might want to add that leg too.

A Utilities-Focused Hedge Fund that Managed $319 million is Shutting Down, with Its Staff Moving to

Utilities, outlandish returns? What is this, 1953?

    Currency of stock prices

Quite simply, stocks traded on LSE trade in pence, not pounds. Professional platforms show a different currency pence-denominated instruments. At least two I've seen GBp (note the use of lowercase p) used for this. Alphavantage is a cheap retail level service - maybe it doesn't have those...

    TradingView on Black Friday pricing

Business plan seems to be "charge suckers full price", let suckers extend their subscription at discount rate if they spend more $$$. There's a reason you don't see companies with quality products with such discounts - they understand the (perceived) value of their product and charge...

    TradingView on Black Friday pricing

Wow - what a way to anger your clients who paid full price a month earlier.

    stock fundamental data source

Your terminology is wrong. These aren't fundamental data points. Fundamentals are things like earnings, revenue, debt reported on a quarterly basis and seriously lagged. You're after price data + separate split/dividends corporate actions. This all gets tricky to get on a historical basis...

First time poster promoting "stockdatatracker", welcome. Intriguing you would come to this topic. Affiliated, perhaps?

How much latency is too much for day trading?

Another bit of advice: Figure out how to call your broker and close out ALL positions. Document it. Teach your wife/husband/significant other how to do this too. Then revise documentation. Practise it every 3 months.

How much latency is too much for day trading?

Yes, but not from a latency perspective (it will actually add a bit more latency). It helps with reliability - you can have your trading environment all nicely running and you can access it from anywhere. Local PC environments can be subject to fun things like Windows Updates, connectivity...

IB restricted my account without notice

Smells like fraud/money laundering to me. The compliance costs of ensuring this client is not committing fraud or money laundering on such a small account probably exceed the potential revenue from the client, especially if there are authorities involved and it involves foreign jurisdictions...

IB restricted my account without notice

Well clearly you did that. Why did you do that? Regarding "loss" - you only lost the opportunity (quite like due to your abnormal actions). When you understand trading is about minimizing losses, you will understand. Until then you are a grasshopper.

The wealthiest 20% of households own 93% of stocks

It confirms nothing. What a useless unactionable metric.

SPY and S and P index price differences

Further differences include dividend schedules, management fees (not necessarily applicable to this data point)

    Data inconsistency

Whilst the metrics don't change much, the sampling frequency is the issue. Some companies interpret every single filing/announcement. Other companies may only look at quarterlies. Others may only look at annuals. Some might ignore intra-quarter events such as stock splits, convertible note...

    Data inconsistency

Yes, you said these are simple stats. They are reported by the company. However, such collation of data is time consuming and very much a manual process. The concept of "float" differs from vendor-to-vendor. Others may only update information on a less frequent basis too. A paid source at...

    Data inconsistency

It's simple: Don't use free sources of data. Ever. "but?" Still here? Stop. Question your paid source until you are either: a) convinced they are useless b) you are proven wrong PS - Tried SNOW for stock data. It was garbage. This company will fail.

    Market data connection lost

Not VPN. VPS = Virtual Private Server. i.e. everything is running on a server hosted in a data center in USA. No more issues with your ISP/disconnections.

    Market data connection lost

Sounds like a MTU misconfiguration issue in your router (or at your ISP). Dropouts are more than likely a packet loss issue (which could also be MTU related). Try doing speedtests to other destinations (speedtest.net) - your ISP may be lacking in upstream bandwidth.
