I was ahead of you. I opened a SPX OCT06 1355/1375C this week for a $2.62 credit as well as a SPY Oct06 134/136C for $0.77 credit. I noticed that with ToS, I'm getting a few cents more that my limit. I priced 2.60 for the SPX spread, got 2.62 and sold the SPY for 0.75 and got 0.77. I'll...

Frankly, I couldn't use an instantaneous reflection. I just need something I can use to trigger an alert or possibly an order. I've an order in now to be placed when the VIX hits 14. That's what I'm most interested in.

Would we ever see the market go up and the VIX also go up?

I'm trying to get a handle on VIX movement. So far this summer, when the market goes up, VIX goes down and vice versa. Is this normal for VIX? I've been using it to follow volatility. Is this a proper use for VIX? :confused:

As whipshaw as the market has been, why tempt matters, go with the lowest. 'Tis better to give up $0.35 than to get in a pinch. My $0.02.

Sailing and others, are there any good investments clubs here on ET? Are there any good ones at all. Most of what I've observed is that clubs are a good why to lose money.

I just sold a Sep RUT 750/760C @ $0.70. Watched the price rise from $0.55 to $0.70 this morning, so I decided to take the plunge. I don't normally trade the RUT, but this looked pretty good.
