why the big drop in the S&P after hours??

i've got a 2/1 (2 calls to 1 put) spread on the qqq that I bought just before the close. Hopefully, we open way down here, i'll sell the puts at a massive gain, and buy more calls.

why the big drop in the S&P after hours??

don't know why, but I went long a small position of NQ @ 1125 just a sec ago... based on a gap play.

    Sleepless Nights

    Sleepless Nights

NDX closed @ 1150.78, I went long some NDX derivatives at the close. I only use 1/8 trading capital on these gap plays... and I try to limit my risk by using options... NQ futures is the most risky way to play the gap. What happens if it gaps against me? I doubledown by averaging into...

    Sleepless Nights

Electronic Daytraders Secrets features a trader named Johnathan Petak. Throughout the day, he slowly builds a position in stocks he thinks will gap. Whereas most traders might make a few hundred thousand a year, he makes that kind of money in months. He was my inspiration as a daytrader and...

    Sleepless Nights

NDX closed yesterday @ 1195.6 and opened today @ 1183.91. That comes out to approximately 11 points theoretical NDX profit. However, since I can't actually play the NDX, I like to do a combination of NQ & QQQ options. Options are the preferred method because they're is less risk.... and I...

    Sleepless Nights

I realize that most daytraders buy and sell within the time frame of a few minutes, what to speak of holding a trade overnight. I have a trade I call Sleepless Nights, because the entry is just at the close, and the exit is at the open. It's basically a way of playing the gap, literally...

    1% per trade

the crux of the matter is not how many times you can get 1% gain, it's how many times you stop out and what your stop is. if you don't put a stop, it's like gambling... ie you are risking everything for something relatively small. If you have a big stop, you'll have a big loss. :D

    What the %#*& ?!

looks to me like a big stop loss :D

    What the %#*& ?!

i only watch the 45 minute chart, so I couldn't even tell there was a spike by glancing at it. i guess on the 1 min chart it deserves a second glance.

    What the %#*& ?!

on the 1 min chart.... u call that a massive spike? that's just every day stuff, happens all the time. u should see a 100 point spike... then u should really #%^$$ swear.

    What the %#*& ?!
