so you are buying on fundamentals. Just curious, would you be buying oil, gold, etc if the technicals weren’t good as they are, but with the war still a factor?
I am 35% equity across all of my accounts combined (I’m retired). I’ve never been 35% equity in my adult life. My long term strategy is 65-70% equity. (As an investor, not my trading money, which is small, and 100% cash right now.
I’ve been this low all year, and it feels really uncomfortable...
I'm confused ....
So 1 and 5 minutes are obviously intraday and i guess you use them for day trades (and swing trades?). FOR THE 30 AND 365 day charts, whats the time interval you use. For examle, the 365 day chart - is it daily, weekly?
When you are looking for setups, for both swing trades and position trades, what time frames do you focus on? Daily, weekly, monthly?
I'm having trouble with this.
When if ever do you look at a 1 year daily chart?
I like the stock lists, and updates throughout the day. They also feature a stock each day in the Stock of the day” column, which is usually a technically strong stock, so it’s a good source of ideas.
But that’s me, we are all different
I’m really talking about charting capabilities, maybe trading platform is the wrong word. I’m not day trading and I’m not trading size. So I don’t think fast execution means much to me. (I press buttons fast lol )
Good point. As I said my focus is going to be on the sectors. I want use the entire universe of ETFs but I will use the equal weights maybe Gold and some of the commodity ETFs I think it’s still a pretty narrow focus feel free to disagree
I use ThinkorSwim at TDAmeritrade. Costs me nothing and is very robust.
I’m sure other trading platforms like Scwab, IB, etc are similar. Yet I see some using paid platforms like Trading View, TrendSpyder, TC 2000 and others.
am I missing something?
I mentioned that my universe will be limited to the 11 S&P 500 Sector Spyders. Going to amend that. So….
Part 1
Universe will focus on Sector Spyders and equal weight sector ETFs, but instruments can be any ETF
