im a daytrader and ive had some problems with the nyfix route... orders are delayed going out and fills have been awful, especially on fast moving stocks.

im a trader, from a commission standpoint i'd definately better off trading the spy's, even negating the ecn charges/rebates. im leveraged pretty good right now so i thnik ill stick with spy's unless leverage becomes a limiting factor.

what are the advantages to trading the s&p futures as opposed to the SPY's besides the leverage?

Im still noticing the correlation of gld selling off as the market dumps, however the inverse is not true which isn't a good sign for gold longs right now.
